Because it was correct. Squigs' vote was not a serious one, like all votes made in the first 2 hours.
FTFY
what does this mean?
It means 'fix that for you', if you look at Bob's original post, you find out it says 20 minutes instead of 2 hours

To your point, though, I have no interest in a massclaim discussion. You can find a quote from past games if you want to know why it's a stupid idea that I will never participate in on day 1.
How about agreeing that the vote leader at 24 hours must claim their role?
Why 24 hours? Why not 12 hours? Why not 6 hours? Likewise, why not give the various daytime killing roles we may have a chance to do their jobs?

I may support this if it your idea were to do something meaningful for a good reason, but instead you'd like to do something meaningful at the pass of an arbitrary number.
Ideally we could do it earlier than 24 hours, but I thought 24 hours was a reasonable amount of time for everyone to vote. Why would we want anyone shot before we did this?

For my reasons stated against massclaiming in general (although bozo did answer my assassin fear...) but also, because if we force our top two wagons at the end of tomorrow night... and they reveal... we simply allow one of the potentially good PRs to be NKed. And the scum can simply claim their other roles.

I don't see how this helps.
I am suggesting only the top wagon at 24 hours be asked to claim. The idea is that if everyone has a valid vote in, the vote leader at 24 hours will be the player at risk of being lynched, so it give that player a chance to claim their role while we have time to consider if we still want to lynch him. The reason I think this is a good idea is that since everyone has a role, whoever is about to be lynched is going to claim a role to try to save themselves, so it is better for this to happen when we still have time to react. If the player is scum and they claim an non-verifiable role, we can still lynch them if we want. If the player is a third party, they would have to risk claiming a role that would be counter claimed. If the player is town and has a verifiable role, it gives them a chance to prove they are town. If the player is a "good PR", they would have to reveal themselves to the mafia at EOD anyway if they are still the top wagon.

##CALL GM - confirming the Assassin may only visit one target per night regardless of how many bullets they have?

This being said, I hadn't noticed that an Assassin win (if they are indeed in the game) doesn't prevent a town win which takes some of my concern away.

##Additional GM Note

Ah, I missed this the first time around. When the assassin completes their objective and exits the game, they are still considered "alive". They are also unable to be eliminated. Please refer to the roles doc for various win conditions.
Okay so for clarity town (thank you GM):

If the Assassin hits their targets and leaves:

Town can no longer win.
Mafia can win.
Arsonist cannot win (but doesn't exist if the Assassin is in play).
All other 3P roles may be able to win (Infector is the chanciest).

Any questions?
If this is the correct interpretation, then mass claiming is not a good idea. This is not how I interpreted the role description, since I thought "you exit from the game" means the assassin would no longer count against town's win condition. If town can no longer win if the assassin wins, why would they bother continuing to play to prevent the mafia from winning? It seems the game should just end if the assassin wins if it is true town can no longer win.

##CALL GM

Is it a correct interpretation that if the assassin exits from the game, they still count against the town's win condition, so that it is impossible for town to win?

So I've started creating a spreadsheet to analyse connection between reads, because I can't think of anything better to do. I won't give away exactly how I'm doing it, but the spreadsheet's looking pretty empty. A few things I noticed:

- Most of day 1 has revolved around the bo/bozo/damo argument, with bo coming out as the most heavily scumread. I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards scum bo over bozo or damo.

- Most other players have at most 1 read on them. I'd like to chuck a few horrible early reads out there before I have to start doing catch-up reading tomorrow.

- Bozo - no idea exactly how the meta sits, but he seems the best out of the three.

- Bo - getting some form of scum vibes, probably also largely influenced by others scumreads of him. Doesn't look great.

- Damo - I'm not sure where I sit on damo, but I'm leaning town, mostly because TvS (or Sv3p or who cares) doesn't seem like a bad theory.

- Vapor - Seems subdued. I don't think Squigs' argument here is bad. Once again, I can't speak for the meta, but leaning scum.

- Bunny - Rickroll question at the beginning seemed suspicious, and Kitsune's argument seems valid. Yet again, I can't speak for the meta, but wouldn't be surprised if he flipped Ricky or at the very least scum/3p.

- Squigs - Getting some weak townlean, but only really because he seems like he's making useful contributions. I feel like he probably does that as scum as well though.

- Flav - Seems a little odd, incredibly unhelpful, and reminds me of a troll from the origami forum, but this could just be the way he usually plays. I wouldn't know. Leaning scum but could just be playstyle.

That's a summary of my main reads, even though they're mostly pretty weak. And that also happens to be my first attempt at an analytical mafia post! I hope this is in some way useful to someone here.

As above, the only way that bozo's plan has any shot at working is if a) we pick the point at which these claims happen for a reason, not because the clock has changed, and b) more than one person claims (and I would argue at least five, as that seems to me a fair number where the validity of said claims may come into question for one or two claimants, thus narrowing our pool for today and for later).
The top wagon is going to claim eventually, they are not going to let themselves get lynched without claiming. I am suggesting this happens at a time that is not ideal for the mafia or third party if they are the one who will end up claiming.

If it is true that town can't win once the assassin wins, revealing five is probably not a good idea, although it may happen at EOD anyway if enough players feel they are at imminent risk of getting lynched.

How does this help us?

If the top wagon at 24h is scum, they will have an un-CCable fake role to claim. So they claim it, keep a straight face, and presumably the wagon moves to the second highest suspect. Then what? Do you want them to claim at 12 hours?

Also, Bozo, that relies, apparently, on everyone having cast a valid vote by 24h. I bet you 20 Zimbabwean Dollars that that won't happen. Some people haven't even posted yet, let alone voted.

What's this horse-piss about multiple people needing to claim? Why would someone other than the lead wagon need to claim?

This all seems like a bad idea to me. I don't like.

Coming with an unpopular opinion:

- not sure if xorxes is town this time

Yes, some of his posts are meaty, however he needs to deliver more before we can consider him a town hero so I'm not sure how can someone be so certain about him being town right now
I'm going to give you townie points for this one. I had the same worry as Squigs for your initial posts, but what you said about Prado and this post make me feel way better about you.

Mafia scum, or third party scum?
Mafia, with that little possibility of third party
Elaborate!

bo posted a lot more after that little fight. Which side are you leaning for him now?

I was (hastily) assuming assassin, because bo was Doc. And this was bad. But I have heard rumors that sometimes townies make bad shots. So yeah... you're probably, at least statistically, correct.
