Re: M50: Madness in Memetown [HIDDEN]
Memetown's citizens were standing around the Town Square, trying to decide what to do. Captainmeme had just barely disappeared, when over the town's emergency broadcast network, music began to play:

Following the end of the song, it appears that...
KITSUNE HAS DIED! SHE WAS THE REPOSTER, the UNIVERSAL BACKUP!
Night 1 has begun.

Regardless of alignment, this shows how utterly clueless Flav is when it comes to mafia strategy.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:48 pmBecause then mafia can also claim roles, and because not all roles are actually given that means that this could really throw us off, and then throw us into huge arguments over two people which isnt what we want to do. It would also be an overload of information which IMO is a bad idea because then its hard to parse it all out, and often actually just wontxorxes wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:45 pmWhy is it not a good idea? Just a hunch like Jamiet's, or did you do some analysis?FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:41 pm
No your a smart person but its not a good idea anyways
Narrowing down potential mafia to "1 of 2" is actually what we want. Much easier than a few mafia out of literally everyone.
Information on day 1 is exactly what we want, saying that an overload of info is bad for town is a gross misunderstanding of the game.

Lol what, is Vecna actually mafia?Chaqa wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 12:45 amMemetown's citizens were standing around the Town Square, trying to decide what to do. Captainmeme had just barely disappeared, when over the town's emergency broadcast network, music began to play:

Wait I voted Jamiet99uk. Is there a vote swapper or something?
Re: M50: Madness in Memetown [HIDDEN]
Well that was a short day.
So Vapor just rickrolled us? Or was it Vecna? If the role description is accurate I don't think it can be Vecna. Also, Vecna would not have suicided like that, unless he was very upset with the setup.

Re: M50: Madness in Memetown [HIDDEN]
Well, it's not day 1 anymore. We have, however, narrowed down possible hammerer options to one of two. Only Vecna and Vapor meet the requirements (unless I searched wrong).
I don't have access to the setup right now (internet blocks certain sites, including google docs) and didn't think to download it, so can someone please explain why Kitsune died?

Chaqa posted between the two times it was said so I would assume it's gotta be Vapor
Re: M50: Madness in Memetown [HIDDEN]
You have a single-use ability to immediately end the current day phase by PMing the GMs your intention and then posting the phrase “Never gonna give you up” into the main thread. This phrase can be hidden in plain sight or across multiple posts throughout the entire day phase, so long as each word is spelled exactly and they are posted in order. Upon posting the final word, the day phase will end.
Vecna posted way too early for this to apply, so it has to be Vapor.

##GM Note -
I do not know why the bot doesn't count quoted votes, but I don't use the bot or my vote counts. I'm following the precedent we've been using since M1 where quoted votes count (hence why we've always replaced octothorpes with [] in quotes. Therefore, when Squigs quoted Prado's vote, he voted for KItsune, even if the bot doesn't register it for some reason (i don't know why/when peter made this change).

this is tragic and it shouldn't have happened.
if you want to use me as a bait, then do so

Re: M50: Madness in Memetown [HIDDEN]
Ok
Also, now seeing the hammerer description again, I think xorxes/TrPrado is right. We've lost one day's voting, but we've also hit guaranteed scum. Although it also means we'll get next to no information from D2 voting either, unless people for some reason decide to vote people other than Vapor. Which I can imagine happening actually... But what conclusions can we actually draw from side votes like that? (Bear with me as I attempt fathom strategy here).
Okay, sure, why not. What did universal backup do? I forget.

This is completely against any game I've played on webDip in the last year, but okay, thanks for the explanationChaqa wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 1:00 am##GM Note -

Yeah, we have not used quoted votes since we moved to the new forum where quotes can be easily separated.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 1:09 amThis is completely against any game I've played on webDip in the last year, but okay, thanks for the explanationChaqa wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 1:00 am##GM Note -

So I don't think Vapor actually intended to kill Kitsune, which makes his action even more weird.
