I am deeply shocked by this revelation, especially considering Maniac's status as Moderator-in-Preparation. You can't disguise the disappointment. It’s very, very hard to see how you can bind these wounds. It's led to probably one of the worst periods at webDiplomacy I’ve ever experienced. It’s like a bereavement. I’m not ashamed to say that I’ve shed a lot of tears.

I think the only decent option is for Maniac to offer his resignation as MiP, and retire any ambitions he may retain for modhood.

Also, is there a link to the fanfic anywhere? I would hate to come across it by accident and must know where it is so I can best avoid it.
