Signups are now closed. If you wish to participate in the tournament still, you can contact one of the teams to see about joining as a sub. I will be contacting team captains over the weekend to finalize details and will publish the tournament seeding as well. I expect to create games sometime next week.

Another try for a public press practice game:

Hopefully this one can fill with mostly WC players

I would advise password-protecting it and posting the code in the forum, so everyone who got in read your post.slypups wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 4:46 pmAnother try for a public press practice game:

As reigning champions do we just take a pass straight to the final round, or how does this thing work? Do you want us to go through the motions of annihilating the early rounds or just save us as a special Main Event for everybody else to earn the right to play (lose) against?
Whatever works for you.

Sorry all, I've had some computer problems and was unable to do the seeding this weekend.

Rumor on the street is that Cascadia may have been disqualified for failing the birth certificate/documentation test. One independent report alleges that not even one Cascadia member was born in or lives in the Cascadia region and that the team name may as well be called "Team Mars".VillageIdiot wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 4:49 amAs reigning champions do we just take a pass straight to the final round, or how does this thing work?

C'mon, chaps. Let's not start the site's favourite tournament by bullying the Canadian B team. It's a credit to them that they managed to find enough people for a second team, even if it is a bit of a fudge. I'll sure they'll try very hard and truly earn their "well done" stickers at close of play.

I’m very proud of you Britain, most would have taken last years first round elimination as a serious blow to the confidence. Good to see you guys back up on that horse!!
Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
I agree with Octavious. Let's not be too hard on Greatest Lakes. No team has greater room for improvement over their previous results than they do.
Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!
There are several strong teams this year with Greatest Lakes as one of them. There could be surprises in this tournament, that is for sure.

I just hope the team formerly know as Mid-Atlantic will repeat our result of having the most points going into the final, without repeating the final result, of course.
