Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
If the RG challenges Neph and Neph is not the Emperor, then we wasted the chance to challenge the emperor.
If the AG challenges Neph and he is the Emperor, then worcej can still get him with another challenge with Emperor confirmed.
If Neph scum other than the Emperor, it is better for the AG to challenge.
All this assuming Neph is not the Roleblocker, in which case either one challenging him would be a disaster.

Xorx, I don't buy you all the sudden deciding to show up and make sense. What's your role?xorxes wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 10:49 pmIf the RG challenges Neph and Neph is not the Emperor, then we wasted the chance to challenge the emperor.

##Challenge
Crassius: On the fabled plains of Zama stood the indomitable armies of the Barbarian Hannibal..... opposed by the Legionaries of Scipio Africanus! Caesar is proud to present to you a recreation of that fabled battle...
The crowd goes wild! Romans are cheering in the stands and demanding blood.
A challenge has been declared between Neph and Worcej. Only votes for those two candidates are valid until Hour 24 when this will be adjudicated.

Well, that's that then. If Neph is the town roleblocker, then that's on me I guess.

Good work Chaqa there is at least 3x more chances of Nepthys being scum then RB. Probably more considering the claims but it's pointless to do this math now
##vote Nepthys
And congrats to RBer for the night job, pretty well done. If you didn't RB Nepthys I think it's almost autowin for town.

Thanks for the welcome! Last mafia game I played was in the 20s I think. I've had an extended hiatus from Diplomacy and only just started playing again.
I haven't read most of the thread, but I've caught up on recent events. But at least I already knew that there was a town that scanned as scum!! (Chaqa??

On that note, I haven't been on the site since the forum upgrade! It's a lot fancier now, with formatting options too!

if Neph claims roleblocker, and someone else out there is the roleblocker, do not counterclaim him.

Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
Hmmm, this is exactly the sort of comment I would expect from Xorxes as a scum. His contributions are often limited to rule clarifications that serve to help influence the decision he desires. He wouldn't usually overtly defend a scum ally (especially not one scanned by a proven?? cop), but he would indirectly try to help them.
If called out on it (in this case, his attempt to delay Neph's sentencing) he can always fall back on claiming that he was just pointing out the rules.
Maybe not particularly damning in itself, but it fits the typical xorxes lurkish scum playstyle that I remember.

+1 bigtime. I said something similar.Floodgates wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 11:25 pmHmmm, this is exactly the sort of comment I would expect from Xorxes as a scum. My gut tells me xorx is the Deathproof based on his earlier Survivor claim.

Looking back I have Xorxes listed as null and it's day 4, I would certainly think that he would have made more of an impression as town by nowChaqa wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 11:29 pm+1 bigtime. Agree. I said this on D2, that claim make a lot more sense as scum.Chaqa wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 11:29 pm+1 bigtime. If Neph is the Roleblocker, I think it's Mafia autowin.
If Neph is the Emperor, I think it's town autowin.
If Neph is some other scum, I think it could still go either way, but we'll be in good shape.
