I am not even talking about "winning" an argument. You usually don't present one. Your style is to present a conclusion and anyone that disagrees is delusional or call them a name. I am actually willing to be convinced of the strengths/deficiencies of Boris's communication skills (at least from what I have seen, I don't mind Boris too much)...but the only conclusion I get from the points you have raised here is that you are being an a**hole.

You seem to think I'm remotely interested in whether or not you believe Boris to be a good communicator. In what sense do you imagine it matters to me? In terms of political advantage there's perhaps a marginal gain if Jamie believes that Boris isn't a good communicator, as harbouring such a delusion means that he's less likely to convince people to vote against him if he engaged in politics at the next election. But it will make such a tiny difference I don't really care, and I have no idea if I'd vote for him in the next election anyway, or if he'd even stand for that matter.

I said Boris is a communicator not to try and convince people of the fact, nor to try and fool people into believing a lie, but simply to correct Jamie with a simple statement of truth. I am perfectly happy with you thinking me an arsehole. I think you're a bit of an arse too, so that's all well and good. The only thing that genuinely upsets me (and we are stretching the definition of upset to its absolute limit here) is your spelling of asshole with a couple of asterisks. A depressing sign of the feebleness of the modern age
