Re: circumcision
Cosmetics? Pah! In my day we were perfectly happy with a pair of plastic spectacles and a fake beard. What other decoration could a man possibly need?
Re: circumcision
Women have more body issues than men - so no I don't think men will ever catch up to Women in that regard MM.
My condolences for eating yavuz's son
Bump, as it's the last post on the homepage - this shall not fall.

Re: circumcision
Well since this thread got bumped I'll address this. This is only the case because of sexism that influenced society for generations. The societal expectations that women are held to from a looks and body perspective are far higher then what men are subjected too. One can only hope that this bullshit is removed from society as things like the wage gap are tackled. Though considering this pressure around looks results in multi billion dollar industries around cosmetics and medical procedure stems from companies that have a vested interest in running commercials targeting young girls to indoctrinate them with the long held ideas that things like makeup, surgeries, and starving yourself are required, it doesn't seem like it will be an easy issue to address.
Re: circumcision
Obviously, the solution is for men to use make-up. We could just start with a bit of rouge on the cheeks and a touch of mascara.
It's the next logical step from groomed beards. Personally I'm waiting for social acceptance of groomed chest hair. We'll get there.

Re: circumcision
Octavious our Oracle asked, apart from a pair of plastic spectacles & fake beard, what decoration(s) could a man want?
Might I suggest a premiership medal (for sporting triumph & imho, classic Blokes Bling) and a "Prince Albert". And a good hat... I purchased a cracker hat today from the local Salvation Army Shop for $Aus 12-

Just testing whether I can add a message while the rest of the site is up.
Of course, the fact that this will push the topic to the top again is just a useful byproduct...

Re: circumcision
Perhaps a tattoo ? How to find a design that works in both flaccid & aroused states, that's one challenge to solve. Any suggestions ?

Re: circumcision
It is genital mutilation, if we cut off women's clitorises it would be rightfully seen as a crime against humanity, why is it not seen that way for men?
Re: circumcision
Only in the same sense that earrings are earlobe mutilation. It is genital mutilation,

Getting your ears pierced is consensual, having a part of your phallus removed as an infant for no rational reason is not.

Re: circumcision
I'm circumcised, which in the UK is quite rare - but it was due to medical necessity, not some religious or cultural preference.

Re: circumcision
Same. I just re-read this thread and oh lordie. I do humbly apologise for my testy nature and ridiculously strong views as evidenced herein. An interesting, if embarrassing journey.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 11:20 pmI'm circumcised, which in the UK is quite rare - but it was due to medical necessity, not some religious or cultural preference.
I still think its silly to worry about other people's appendages, and the characterisation of circumcision as genital mutilation - especially in cases of legit health reasons (e.g. Phimosis) is less than savoury.
There is a clear difference between FMG and circumcision though - one may be required for health reasons, and in 99% of cases does not interfere with the ability to enjoy a sexual life, the other destroys it forever. If circumcision was removal of the glans - it might come close.

Re: circumcision
You say that, but doesn't the American fascination with the knife result in American men having to resort to lubricant from anything from regular sex to the five knuckle shuffle? I confess that my entire knowledge of Yanky sex life comes from a handful of films so may not be entirely true to life. Indeed it's entirely possible that the idea Americans find artificial lubrication necessary is a work of industrial propaganda thrust upon us by Big Lube to increase sales.

Re: circumcision
No idea Octavious, as I am a 10 pound Pom migrant to the lucky country. I can assure you however that I have never required lubricant for self-satisfaction.
Having said that, we should all be wary of the Big Lube lobby.

I don't have as active a sex life currently as I used to, but was circumcised during puberty and I'm now in my early 40's, and I've never had a lubrication problem. The foreskin doesn't produce lube (as far as I know). If you're doing it right, your female partner naturally produces the lubrication required.
Jeebus, this is a weird thread.
