Why is it making such a big comeback? What's the appeal of it after seeing what it's resulted in before? Why would it be different this time?
Genuinely so confused.
I'm paying a bunch of taxes and then remembered communists like paying taxes which got me on this rabbit trail of wondering about communism some more.

Re: can someone please explain Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrianism is based on Zoroaster. A Jesus like figure.
They believe in and good deity and an evil deity, and I think that the physical world, with all the pain, suffering, cancer and dying, is an illusion created by the evil deity. Whereas the spiritual world is pure and good and you return there when you die.. .
Also, if I'm not mistaken, they leave their dead on tall pillars to be eaten by scavenger birds. Avoiding polluting the earth, water, or fire (pure elemental forces) which burial/sea burial/cremation usually entail.
The problem of evil is resolved by having an evil deity.
Personally I prefer a Spinozan God, where the material world and God are one and the same.

Re: can someone please explain Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrianism is a method fighting climate change, typically utilising elements of magic, first invented by Zoroaster himself, and combining that with the encouragement of believers to sustain and align themselves to existence, potentially creating an impressive reduction in carbon emissions. Mainstream media will typically try to tarnish its environmental reputation, highlighting the historic emissions increase that resulted from the initial spread of zoroastrian society, and even trying to link it with the unconnected ultraviolence practiced by the Hispanic terrorist known as Zoro, but don't allow yourself to be taken in by this fake news.

Oh hang on, I love Zoroastrianism. Bumping this for when I'm done paying taxes so I can talk more about it.
Re: can someone please explain Zoroastrianism
I sort of think of Zoroastrianism is like Metallica before the black album.
It represents monotheism before it began to suck and sellout:
