BTW, what is the phase length going to be? My vote would be 2 days.

2 days sounds perfect for me, for board 2 or whichever board I end up in.

...it's the *position* not the actual rating. Figured pos would be a better ranking tool in case of ties.
Wait, huh? I totally misread that. So hold up. This means I'm on top of the GR pile of people signing up? Ugh! I, uh, don't like that much attention. It also makes that king/jester joke a lot less fun. Sorry gang, I'm not at all that level of cocky. I'm definitely the jester who woke himself up with his own snoring, I promise you.

As far as settings go, I like 3 days as my life gets awful busy a lot. But I'd be down for rulebook retreats/builds, and all that. I prefer anonymous if I HAD to pick, but it doesn't matter much. Anyone who's played with me before should ID me by press as soon as I say anything. So for me it's not a big help. But if players decide to dogpile whoever is the highest GR player based on that motive alone, anonymous is probably a better idea.

 It was funny! I attempted a similarly cocky (if much less elaborate) joke with my recent 'merciful' comment. In jest, anyone in my game should prepare to get crushed.

Don't worry, we won't do that.

Unless you draw France, of course.

Let there be a Ta.Ble.4!

cormorant - rank 876

Think that puts me at 11 on this list

Like Yigg, I'd prefer 3-day phases with rulebook press. Like Yigg, I like anonymous (though my press style will likely reveal me to all those with ears to listen). Like Yigg, I am doing my best to appear friendly and relatable an not at all like I'm yearning, desperately to crush my enemies into the dirt, seize their lands, topple their hearths and kill kill kill ki... I mean--I'm looking forward to a great game with a lot of fun people!

Works for me. Maybe do 3 day seasons with 1 day builds/retreats so it doesn't drag?

Whatever we do with the ruleset, we still need a start date. January 11th was suggested earlier, is that too soon?

Yeah, let's still shoot for the 11th. I think I'll close the signups at the end of the day on the 4th. That'll give a couple of days for each table to decide on settings and get everyone in... Still waiting for Echidna and Ernst to confirm if they *only* want to be a sub. If they're fine with playing normally, 4 tables! Woo hoo!

Game 1:
1. Yigg - 61
2. Foodcoats - 70
3. Theodoric - 106
4. Echidna - 201
5. yoak - 335
6. DreamTrawler - 350
7. KingRishard - 536

Game 2:
1. JECE - 767
2. Pinecone333 - 787
3. gimix - 814
4. cormorant - 876
5. DougJoe - 1,044
6. Wusti - 4,444
7. UnknownHero - 4,484

Game 3:
1. Hamilton Brian - 4,726
2. helloworld82 - 4,861
3. Ernst_Brenner - 6,173
4. ElSaenzGalvis - 6,356
5. stefanodangello - 7,673
6. Hughganought - 12,242
7. ilovepoland - 27,524

Game 4:
1. DarthPorg36 - 27,595
2. Red Neurax - 31,981
3. Klaus klauts - 32,400
4. Alidio - 32,543
5. linmo - 32,922
6. BrianBaru – 33,196

Nice! I really like table 4, the positions in the ranking are almost identical
(at least relative to the fact that We are around position 30k)

Board two folks:

Sounds like Pinecone and Unknown Hero would like two day phases. 2 days for press/1 day for builds & retreats too short for anyone? DSS, anon?

If I end up in board 2, I still want WTA scoring and still don't have a strong preference on anon. vs. non-anon., but it doesn't really matter since I'll crush you all no matter what the settings are.

Board 3, which I assume I am a part of, would best be anon and WTA.

In my opinion.

For Board 2 . 2 day phases maybe with 3 missed turns? I Prefer Anon. Don’t care about scoring.

Echidna here, confirming I *only* want to be a sub. And my position is worsening rapidly!

Oh man, I had hoped to play with you Echidna! That's okay.

So Board 1 needs to shift up one, or get a replacement. Board 1 is calling for another Helldiver! For Democracy and Super Earth!

Board 1 also proposes 3 day press, 1 day retreat/builds, anon.

The Nameless King, sitting motionless and silent upon his throne for many years, begins to stir. The dust having once caked his frame begins to shake and cascade from his broad frame. His mouth begins to emit the terrible booming of a yodel not heard since the Herculean wars of yore. Yigg begins to tremble.

I'm in.

I'm actually fine with three day phases. But yes, DSS and anon would be my preference.
