Hello! Very happy to find this thread. My last several attempts at coming back to an old fashioned full press game have always been unsuccessful, as it seems nowadays a 101 points FP game will not attract 7 players even in 14 days... gimix, Hamilton Brian and King Rishard are names I remember. Those of you who were here in the past decade, what happened? Has our community dwindled so much? If so, why? Have we been having tournaments? When was the last World Cup?

A bit surprised that finding your GR is no longer a complex side quest :) Was fearing I'd spend some time to find the last monthly GR sheet I was in lol.

Very happy to join, and also strongly in favour of WTA/DSS.

I'm not sure - I gather there was someone of an exodus at some point by some of the old guard but I think it happened just before I joined in 2019. From what I gather a lot of people play on Discord now (the nexus leagues, the DBN league stuff) and of course a lot of people liked backstabbr for the UI which was novel for online play (from what I understand) at the time it was created. There's a lot of options for playing Diplomacy online.

I don't feel like the last online Dip World Championship was that long ago - I know I spectated the final board but I'm guessing it was... might have been in 2022? That's what it looks like from the forum.

I'm not sure about an exodus, but - while the Nexus tournament and leagues and now the Olympus tournament are great - it would be wonderful to see more organized play here on WebDip. You're doing God's work, Doug!
