1.My logic in this case :

0 % interaction between diplomat community & general community means its straight forward gunboat ( diplomat are saying blah blah blah . .of no significance at all)

Atleast confirmation from generals means that they are atleast reading the thread & taking this thread into consideration. ELSE , the match is straight gunboat ( like other normal game) & DIPLOMACY THREAD IS OF NO VALUE.

2. I personally think & like to request to organize to arrange a system so that general can send messages to their diplomat once a year Atleast

I don't think you can re-negotiate the rules and approach of the game after the game has started. I veto this suggestion for now but happy to consider it for future games.

The idea to have generals be able to communicate with diplomats once per year is an interesting variation, and one that could be used in a future game, but I don't want to change the rules once the game has already started.

I believe that the incentive for generals to read the forum thread is that there is an advantage to knowing what alliances exist and to be able to have some (one-sided) communication, and I believe the moves so far show that many generals have been aligned with the diplomats' promises in the thread, though some have chosen to deviate as well. This is how I hoped it would work.

Question about "rules": As a General, is it okay to +1 posts of the Diplomats in the game thread?

I would say no, as though the impact could be low, it would still an influence on the negotiations, which is against the spirit of how this game is set up.
