Does support hold work on units that bounced?

Sorry if this is a repeat, but didn't find any clear answers.

If i put support hold orders for unit A to support hold unit B, which itself has orders to move, but only with the purpose of bouncing off an enemy unit, does the support hold it gets from unit A still stand (ie. is unit B supported in hold even though it's orders were to move instead of hold, but failed).

:?:

No, the support hold order will not be executed on a unit that is ordered to move. A support hold order will only be executed on units that are ordered to support other units or on units that are ordered to hold

Yes, and support also works on fleets who are ordered to convoy.
