It's not your age.Maniac wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 1:14 pmCongrats Kitsune sure you’ll do a great job. Thanks for agreeing to do a thankless job. Now you’re on the inside, can you put a word in for me. I need little sleep and already work for peanuts.
I’m starting to think that I’m overlooked because of my age. That’s a protected characteristic in some jurisdictions. Who do I sue? Should applications be blind with no names on CVs to ensure we remove this obvious bias.

By which I did NOT mean to imply, 'its not your age, because there is OBVIOUSLY Something Glaringly Wrong with your application besides your supposedly advanced age. In fact, I think it might be because your application was miss placed in the recent remodel of the mod lounge.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 4:16 pmIt's not your age.Maniac wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 1:14 pmCongrats Kitsune sure you’ll do a great job. Basically a Forum Moderator? lolzultar wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:03 pmI am happy to announce a new position on the mod team and for the forum: Moderator-in-preparation. This MiP position indicates a person who is basically ready to become a mod whenever they are inclined.
I am also happy to announce that our first MiP is Maniac.
Thank you, Maniac, for volunteering for this position. It is a thankless job and I am sure we will be ready to thank you whenever you are ready to stop complaining, I mean, to serve. Just let us know.![]()

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Words can not easily express how much this means to me. I was that weak kid always picked last for the soccer team; the shy, geeky nerdy young man who lost his virginity at 38 and quickly found it again. I was the aging diplomacy player cascading into the obscurity of pensionerhood. But no more. I can now patrol the WebDiplomacy forum with a new badge (presumably) and a swagger. My first task is to hunt out all those misusing the sky comma (otherwise known as the apostrophe) and shame those motherfucker’s. I’ll report my findings back to the team through the moderators’ portal.zultar wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 8:03 pmI am happy to announce a new position on the mod team and for the forum: Moderator-in-preparation.
