This is definitely fake townslip since this happened so early and it's like considered before he said that.

In fact assuming brain's claim is true then SK is nullified as long as we ensure top wagon is at least 3 ahead of brain. Of course the easiest way to ensure that is simply to avoid voting for brain. scums don't gain much from doing that. the reason why brain claimed gamora is so that everyone (even scums because their threat increases when SK gets killing power) can protect gamora from being lynched (so that SK doesn't get the soul stone to start killing people)

even if brain dies and a random person gets soul stone, that's higher chance for SK to get the soul stone off of the new soul stone wielder, whereas if we just protect the actual gamora, we don't ever need to worry about that problem, at least for a while.
