GAMBLERS VS BODYBUILDERS

This setup features a lot of possible vote manipulation. Mafia has a Gambler who places two bets each night about the outcome of the following day. Successful bets yield benefits for the Gambler (or penalties for Town) and unsuccessful bets yield penalties for the Gambler.

Town has a Champion who either functions as the Town Doctor or has a secret 2nd vote they may place each phase.

Also featured is an adorable Town Buff Boy and a slimy Mafia Drug Dealer. You can read more about the setup here:

Standard rules are in play. Namely, day phases last 48 hours and night phases last 24 hours.

Minimum Participation Requirement: Players must place a valid vote, this includes no-kill. Unvote will be considered as a no-kill vote. If a player becomes muted during the day phase (READ THE SETUP DOCUMENT) and they have not placed a valid vote, then they must make one last post that only contains a valid vote and no other text.

We want to run this as soon as possible, so the startdate will be the day after we meet the minimum number of players for the setup.

We need at least 9 players, but up to 12 will be allowed.

Good question.

The earliest worcej would run his setup AFAIK would be 8/15. If we start tomorrow that gives us a week.

It depends on how the game plays out and how many players sign up.

Consequently, I think consultation of the Kouncil and worcej will give us an answer. I believe there are several ways to tackle this problem:

1. Shorten phase lengths. Could do 36 hour days, 12 hour nights. Or 24 hour days and nights.

2. Tweak the setup for a little more kill power potential.

3. Have worcej run his setup a little later, if this game is still going on by 8/15.

4. Set a hard limit of 10 players, instead of 12.

Good question, bet on who is Champion.

I will add clarification in the document, as I realize some bets (particularly this one), can be resolved EoN, whereas other bets are on things involving the following day phase, and consequently resolve EoD.

Gambler can target anyone. I guess it doesn't quite fit thematically but oh well.

Also, I realize I need to update the document to make it more clear precisely how players are notified for different events. Busy at the moment but will get that done soon.
