MAFIA 90: Gunfight at the Pretty Good Corral
Gunfight at the Pretty Good Corral
Factions and Oddities
(In general, this is a plain old webDipMafia game... with voting, endvoting, and Mafia Nightchat. But there are a LOT of guns.)
Town
Desparado During the Day, you may shoot a player by DMing the GMs, and declaring your target. The GM will adjudicate your shot as soon as possible. If your target is town (PR or vanilla) you AND your target are removed from the game. If your target is scum, your gun reloads. You may shoot as many times as you wish, until you are removed due to hitting town. Your role activates on D1. There will be ONE Desperado. The GMs will likely misspell “Desperado” at least twice during the game.
Lawman: During the Day, you may shoot a player by DMing the GMs, and declaring your target. The GM will adjudicate your shot AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU SHOOT. All shots made by Lawmen during the Day will resolve simultaneously (along with any Gunmen’s shots) at the END of the Day. Your gun has ONE shot. Your role activates at the beginning of the day indicated in your Role PM.
If there are 7-11 players, there will be 2 Lawmen. One activating D2, and the other on D3.
If there are 12-16 players, there will be 3 Lawmen. One activating D2, one D3, and one D4.
If there are 17-21 players, there will be 4 Lawmen. One activating D2, one D3, one D4, and one D5.
If there are 22-25 players, there will be 5 Lawmen. One activating D2, one D3, one D4, one Day 5, and one D6
Investigative Sherrif: During the Night, you may choose to investigate one player. You will find out whether that player is town or scum. Your investigation will be revealed to you if you survive the night.
The other townfolk are vanilla town.
Scum
RoleBlock: The Scum team has one factional role block, assigned at night by majority vote of the scum team. No individual performs the RoleBlock. The ONLY town character effected by the RoleBlock is the Investigative Sherrif.
There is NO factional death power, unless and until the Mafia Team is down to One Member, and No Bullets.
Gunman: During the Day, you may shoot a player by DMing the GMs, and declaring your target. The GM will adjudicate your shot AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU SHOOT. All shots made by Gunmen during the Day will resolve simultaneously (along with any Lawmen’s shots) at the END of the Day. Your gun has ONE shot. Your role activates at the beginning of the day indicated in your Role PM.
Night Gunman: During the night, you may shoot a player by DMing the GM’s, and declaring your target. The GM will adjudicate your shot AT THE END OF THE NIGHT YOU SHOOT. Your gun has TWO shots. Your role activates at the beginning of the night indicated in your Role PM.
If there are 7-11 players, there will be 1 Night Gunman (N1) and one Gunman (D2 activation)
If there are 12-16 players, there will be 1 Night Gunman (N1) and two Gunmen. One activating D2, and one activating D3)
If there are 17-21 players, there will be 1 Night Gunman (N1) and three Gunmen. One activating D2, one activating D3, and one activating D4)
If there are 22-25 players, there will be 1 Night Gunman (N1) and four Gunmen. One activating D2, one activating D3, one activating D4, and one activating D5)
There are NO Mafia goons.
Notes:
Maximum of 25 players.
An activated player MAY hold their shot.
Town will NOT receive information regarding who MAKES the shot. Only the flip of faction and role.
The first two days will be 48 hours. Thereafter, days will be 24 hours. Night is always 24 hours.
This game is scheduled to begin on July 1, at 5:00 PM EST. We will be pausing on July 4.

Re: MAFIA 90: Gunfight at the Pretty Good Corral
ADJUSTMENT (already) I am considering continuing to have the number of shooters determined by total number of players... but rather than have assigned DAYS of firing, the player will have a randomized day of firing. More later.

Re: MAFIA 90: Gunfight at the Pretty Good Corral
Sounds wild. Not sure If I'll sign up or not. I feel like I'm likely to draw a shot pretty quickly
Since Mafia only has a limited amount of kills (until they are down to one member), I assume the optimal (yet unfun) strategy would be Town to hold their shots.
22- 6 (Mafia shots) - (Presumably 6 DKs) - 5 (Town shots) = 22 - 17 = 5
Yeah, this would be a fun finale D6.

Re: MAFIA 90: Gunfight at the Pretty Good Corral
Absolutely will play. Giving me a gun possibly while also expecting people to not shoot me for being annoying

Alright, I'm in. I'll hold my shot until Mafia is out of shots.
Unless I roll Desperado, in which case I'm taking brainbomb page 1.

##CALL GM
What are the rules for resolving a standoff?
I imagine, IF Town refrains from shooting, optimal strategy dictates No-Kill while the detective churns through the players.
If Mafia shoots all of their shots and never hits detective, will the game be called a auto win for Town?
