M88: Murder at the Meadery
M88 will use the standard rules with the following changes:
1. There will be no night chat in the game thread. Mafia will still have a night chat via Discord.
2. There will be a 150 post maximum per player per day. This is to ensure it is easy for all players to keep up with the game thread and to not allow anyone to overwhelm the game thread.

I also considered a 24 hour day, but I think we will keep it as a 48 hour day for now.

Setup Info: 17 players
13 Town:
- 1 Beekeeper - Item Smith
ITEMS:
- HONEY - player with this item has +1 vote next day
- BEES! - player with this item has 1x day-vig
- Beekeeper's Suit - player with this item has 1x Bodyguard
- 1 Cop
- 1 Jailer (protect+rb)

4 Mafia (factional kill+rb)
- 1 Godfather
- 3 Goons
NOTE: a mafia member must be chosen to make the kill. If that player is jailed, the kill will be prevented.

FAQ/OOO:
- The Honey vote will only show in the final vote count
- Mafia factional roleblock on the Jailer will roleblock the Jailer
- BEES must be used during the day
- Beekeeper's Suit will stop any kill, cannot be negated by roleblock

It's a variant name for Inventor. Each night it can visit another player, and give them one of the items listed. From the next day / night (as appropriate), they can use the item in the manner described.

It is the norm on some other sites, yes.

By all means, experiment. Personally, I have to say, I absolutely hate it.

Being able to talk at night, and being able to assess immediate responses to the flip, is actually a quirk of our way of doing things, that I think is a really positive feature.

In my own experience on other sites, being arbitrarily prevented from participating, for an entire day if you are Town, while the Mafia are allowed to continue playing, is a massive buzzkill. In at least one MU game I actually almost got modkilled because I stopped checking the game, due to being banned from posting during the night.

I'm with you here 100% Jamie, but it's something people here have been curious about for a while, and there's not great harm in trying anything once.

a ) How will this be policed? If someone fails to keep count of their own activity and inadvertently makes a 151st post, will you modkill them?

ii ) Do naked votes with no other text count as "posts" for this purpose? (I assume "yes" because I assume you will use the Peterbot to count them).

Γ ) If someone makes 150 posts of glorious content, but forgets to place a vote, will you let them post a vote at EoD, or will you modkill them for not meeting the voting requirement?
