Is this game still happening?
I hope so. I don’t want to have… “bought” 8000 dollars of fishing equipment for nothing.

There's not really a lot to discuss until we get a pond update or somebody reports something of interest.

Shouldn't there have been at least one more phase end by now?

I put my order in several days ago.

The tragedy of the commons is a metaphoric label for a concept that is widely discussed in economics, ecology and other sciences. According to the concept, should a number of people enjoy unfettered access to a fishpond, they will tend to fail to enter their orders, the predictable result being a tragedy for all.

No. I'm not playing. If I were, my orders would be, eat fishsticks.

Didn't know darg was playing???

@GM can we make some progress please. If people haven't submitted orders I suggest you interpret as zero fish.

@rest of fishers - if we get no action by say 24h from this post I propose we abandon this pond and migrate.

I concur with Fisherman Damo.

So far this economic simulation is suggesting that the problem of over-utilisation of scare resources is not to be addressed by better management, more efficient methods, or government intervention, but increased laziness.

PHASE CHANGE
It is now Round 3
I have taken damo's advice. Everyone who has not submitted fishing amounts fishes 0 fish.
55 fish remain.
PMs going out now.

Catch was 16-19

I caught two so if there was one zero catch that leaves 14-17 between 4, if Dip was bluffing and thee were no zero catches it's 14-17 between 5. There may not have been illegal fishing but definitely outside quota agreements.

Boo!

tut tut tut, I expected better from my fellow fishers... I only took 2, and this is my point; the overfishers can simply continue overfishing, without much overall growth.

I'll catch'em if they do it in future.
