She would qualify as known for politics or religion. And almost certainly Roman.

Quick summary of where I think we are (basing this off the prior summary, the thread is a bit messy so I may have missed a question here)

1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8, 12, 13. Real, dead human female human born before 50 AD.
9. Not famous for her role in politics, the military, or religion.
10. Not a mystic, writer, composer, or visual artist
11. Not a citizen of Rome, or the wife, daughter, sister or mother of a citizen or Rome. For the purposes of this question "Rome" includes the Byzantine Empire, but not the Holy Roman Empire, Russian Empire, or any other entity that claimed to be the continuation of the Roman Empire. (and yes, women were considered citizens of Rome, even though they could not vote).
14. Not mentioned in the Bible, but...

Pass:
Does this person have an E in her first name?

I would be very surprised.

The Bible connection is tenuous but it will make sense in the end. I would ignore the Bible thing when asking questions.

Do we know her by her name, or at least a name used for her in antiquity (as opposed to a description like "Pontius Pilate's wife", or a name given in modernity like "Lucy")?

No, we do not know her by her actual name, or a name used for her in antiquity.

I'm pretty sure it's 18. Since the last summary, we've had marriage (15), 100 BC (16), name (17), Egyptian (18).

Hint: you have correctly deduced that I'm being tricky here. One thing I'll say is that in choosing this person, I have followed a suggestion that someone made in the previous thread.

Mitochondrial Eve
Correct! She is definitely of global significance.

I hesitated with this choice because technically the identity of Mitochondrial Eve can change over time as groups die out, but I don't think an entire haplogroup has gone extinct in recent memory, so she's at least been consistently the same person since the concept was introduced in the 1980s.

That is HILARIOUS how we were incrementally trying to break down the birth date… and we were still about 200,000 years off

Very interesting - I will be up with a new game soon. I think this was headed to be a stumper without the clue, or it would have been pretty close. Good game.
