He was one of those.

Point of clarification. This question (correctly) differentiates between head of state and head of government. Han-shahanshah's Question #10 specified head of state, but I'm not sure if he intended to be so specific. I'll be clear that Question 10 left open the possibilities that either (a) he was a head of state from some other region; (b) he was a head of government (but not a head of state) from Sub-Saharan Africa; or (c) he was neither. This is the problem with compound questions, but you guys seem to love them.

1,3,6. Real dead human male.
2. No known tattoos.
4,7,8,12. Most prominently known for politics; held elective office, and was head of state or head of govt in a region other than Europe or North America.
5,9. Born 1901 or later.
10. Not head of state from Sub-Saharan Africa.
11. Not born in Asia or South America.

No.

Are you suggesting the equator may have moved since his tenure? No. The capital was never north of the equator.

2. No known tattoos.
4,7,8,12,14. Most prominently known for politics; held elective office; and was head of state or head of govt in a southern hemisphere country.

10. Not head of state from Sub-Saharan Africa.
11. Not born in Asia or South America.
13. Not associated with Africa.

Right so it's someone who has been a leader in Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, or Polynesia then.

He does.

You are zeroing in on him now. Only so many of those were born after 1901. As QM, I will give bonus points for making your next five questions elegant and orignal, and not simply brute forcing it by asking about time periods, political party, or place of birth.

1,3,6. Real dead human male.
2. No known tattoos.
4,7,8,10,12,14,15. Most prominently known for being Prime Minister of Australia.
5,9. Born 1901 or later.
11. Not born in Asia or South America.
13. Not associated with Africa.

I was going to ask about party, but hey! Bonus points!

Does this person appear to be bald or balding in their photo on the "list of Australian prime ministers" page?

No.

Yes, but other than Gillard and the gloriously-coiffed Hawke, I would say they are ALL balding.
did he disappear while swimming?
He did, and now I'll feel very bad if anyone other than Lucasio35 snipes him to the answer. In fact, unless there is great debate, I suggest we give it to him.

did he disappear while swimming?
CORRECT! HAROLD HOLT. The case of Harold Holt has always fascinated me. In modern times, its hard to conceive of how a head of government could be left alone long enough to drown while swimming in the sea. Shows how different things were in the 60's. Also the many conspiracy theories of suicide or CIA murder.

Congratulations Lucasio35 on what I believe is your first ever win! Welcome to the game. We look forward to your first effort as Quiz Master.

yeah didn't see that one... and at that point I was so concerned with getting in a guess that I didn't pay attention. Also, I didn't know Harold Holt was correct when I started my post, but I did once it was posted.
