M1025 Game Thread

I wanted to be a bit more clear and formal about pair eliminations. I'll be doing a series of posts where I eliminate pairs and explain why I've done so. First post will be recapping the ones we've already worked on.

If anyone else wants to contribute, just make it clear to me and I can add to this.

So to re-explaiin the Damo/Bunny and Jamie/Bona exclusions, I simply don't believe all three scum would join a wagon together outside maybe the final hour or two of the day, so I've excluded pairs that would have been required to do so.

rereading bona currently and now I see why people are thinking the pyxxy thing is unusual. he seems like he was trolling there and it went awry so he tries to make it seem like he misunderstood who died.

either way bona hard sells the idea that he is very far removed from paying attention to the game which is something he also did last game with his fake catchup posts. I wonder if maybe this is a little more sinister than that however

Of course not. The numbers are all pretty close. Just reflects how open it is apart from Bozo being v likely town.

Pair Elimination Game Round 2

Just kinda doing whatever.

We've already had some work done to exclude Bona-Pyxxy, as seen here:

Bona-Bozo would only work if both Bona and ghug wanted to bus Bozo Day 1. This also works for Bozo-brain and Bozo-Jamie, so I'll eliminate those pairs as well (even though we're on a Bona section, no reason to turn away free work!)

On Day 2, ghug votes Eden, joining Damo&Brain, so that's another pair out.

OK...finally have time to read EOD2 starting at page 97 when ghug's wagon was down to 1.

Let's see:

bozo declares I was bussing PE (!) so he votes me.

brainbomb announces the bunny wagon is the child of a bunch of insane people.

Then brain votes me.

Then said bozo and damo clear themselves by voting scum...they have yet to do that...

bozo references M62 where apparently I bussed Jamie and Chaqa (stops reread to check M62:

I do recall pushing Jamie, but a search for my name saying the word chaq* turns up that I put a single "pressure" vote on him until he announced that he'd read his PM. Then never voted him again.

yeah good luck bunny, can only imagine having the responsibility of kids and then having shit outside of your control collapse all around you.

It's a pandemic...it's hard for everyone. If I can find tim for games, it's not awful. I just had a rhythm, it got broke, and I was pissed. Ok...game time...

Summary of my EOD reads:

kgray: looks scummy superficially, but probably town based on posts
ghug: looks towny.
Balki: looks scummy.
Durga: unclear.
Flum: Probably town for declaring they'd sit on teacon when it was close.
brain: looks even scummier than kgray, but again it's so scummy I don't think scum!brain would do it. I think it is more likely lost and confused town!brain.
Hamilton: weird post about gold. Not sure if scummy or very very confused.
Chaq: weird...but not like his scum game from last time.

bozo...wrong about historical fact...hmmm)

Back to EOD2:

bozo continues demonstrating lack of understanding of human condition...perhaps this is scum bozo? It doesn't age well.

ghug went out of his way to engage with me on several posts I didn't address to him (e.g.:

bozo then defends ghug from bona.

ghug then defends me from flum.

bozo then claims he thinks eden and ghug are town. This is just a couple posts after his previous defense of ghug from bona...strange.

bozo then asks ghug why eden is scum.

ghug defends me from brain AND bozo.

(Note: ghug was defending me HARD from everyone--make of the WIFOM what you will)

ghug engages with bozo to explain why ghug scumreads eden.

damo engages with eden about voting me.

damo engages with brain to point out that pyxxy isn't voting me despite saying he would and that brain claimed pyxxy was voting me.

ghug says he much prefers bozo and flum to me.

ghug asks damo to shift back to Eden. brain engages ghug on this too.

bozo continues to not know what colloquialisms of OK mean. He continues to conf bias this ignorance to vote me. Yes, I'm editorializing--learn American, bozo!

If it was TvTvT then scum had no reason to fret.

ghug engaged and defended me A LOT.

bozo both defended ghug and claimed to scumread him.

bozo got statement of fact about me bussing chaqa in previous game incorrect.

brain volunteered to engage with ghug when not addressed, and suggest eden was hard to read.


Conclusions: bozo looks bad here on reread, but not horrible. damo probably town, brain probably town.

My plan today is to go through the pairs and mercilessly pair down as many of them as I can while drinking pear juice and listening to a pair of headphones while petting a pair of dogs.

I'm jealous. I'm in bed under as many blankets as I can get, drinking tea, wearing a sweater, and working on spreadsheets and training my intern remotely.

Pyxxy - I think the v i b e s thing doesn't have much scum motivation and I liked his evolution on Bunny in that wall. I also caught a little hint of the feistiness of last game in one moment that I'm forgetting now. He's been quieter though, and my meta isn't calibrated, so I'm not willing to Bunny-level clear him.
Jamie - I'm probably high on being right about him last game but he's giving me legitimately good vibes this game.

he puts bona into a category of suspicions and yet useless, but writes nothing pointing to what is actually useless about bona. He then goes on to try to link Flum to bona, or claims that if you flip flum, then go ahead and flip eden. more is written here about what to do with fluminator than with RD or Bona and we know that RD is only on this list because he is the nightkill anyway so claiming he is useless gives ghug a way to not have to talk about him.

I find the act of putting bona first but then actually shoving fluminator in front of bona and focusing all the talk about flum to make it extremely unlikely that bona and flum are scum together here.

I'm of two minds on it.

The first is that Bona is mafia and they were going to kill pyxxy but then changed their mind to kill rivera, and Bona fucked up. If this is true, it clears pyxxy, and likely means the final mafia is someone who would go crumb hunting.

The second is that Bona is clueless and just messed up. But I don't buy this.

There is some merit to voting Bona to clear up this and also potentially clear pyxxy, FWIW.
