I wonder what Jamie's response would have been if someone else made the first vote on Koala and I made that point about another player—would he have said "Foxcastle, that was your play, and so it says nothing about Other Player"? I think he would have been more likely to say that it was a weak argument rather than non-applicable.

The thing Jamie didn't point out is that it's not a very good play in this game. Assuming they're both mafia, if Jamie knows he's bussing Koala, he's either the other goon, in which case he's killing off his only real teammate (this might be reasonable if he knows that the second goon is a great player), or he's the traitor, in which case he knows he doesn't know who his other teammate is and so it's a pretty big gamble.

So I think Jamie's response is actually kind of weird, but it's actually unlikely that the ploy I described is happening.

What is the tradition/promise you are upholding?

Why, the time-honored tradition of voting for self and getting chewed out for bad "Townie Play" that I've done in all of my 3 prior games! Before you ask, I was Townie in 2 of them and Mafia in 1, real traditions must be upheld regardless of alignment.

Also the promise to be GandalfKoala that I made to ghug and the playerbase in general in last game / Discord that's-now-disappeared.

Emc had this terrible habit of lurking and never laying down a vote until the last minute, so I developed a "tradition" of voting him first no matter what to punish him for bad town play. Then we rolled scum together, and I bussed him from the first page to his D1 death and went on to win the game.

The lesson is, if Koala is scum, so is Jamie.
