You can just give up if you want. But you have to include your favorite Rick Grimes* quote in your concession speech.

* would also accept your favorite quote from another member of the Grimes family

I'm not seeing a strong Tiger Beat connection? But it's not really that easy to search for, so maybe.
Fred Savage is another that fits the bill, but I'm also unclear how strong his Tiger Beat connection is.
There's a lot of "teen beat" stuff that shows up for him. Even with the definition of "primarily" (I think) I don't see him primarily known for acting in comedies, IMHO.
Wonder Years is what he's known for, and that's definitely a sitcom. Also, am I misremembering that Balki strongly implied he was kinda known for one movie? If so, that fits...

I'm going to guess Fred Savage in a bit unless someone stops me.

Not going to stop you, but I remember The Wonder Years being more dramatic than funny - but that was a long time ago... Wikipedia does describe it as comedy/drama... *shrug*

I found a Kirk Cameron credit for 2022 and an animation/vo credit from 2910 on IMDB.

2010. A credit from something in 2910 would be a good trick.

"What would you do if I sang out of tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
I will try not to sing out of key"

No.

"Well, you better figure it out. 'Cause if you spend the next three days mooning over this babysitter, and blow this paper, you get put on academic probation and get benched from the team, and we loose another game... Me and ten other guys are gonna come to your house and do a job on your face so that no girl will ever find you attractive again, okay?"

No.

I feel like it's important to clarify that I have believed in you all from the beginning. While I may ridicule you and call you names, deep down, I believe you can accomplish great things. Trust yourselves. Put in the work. Bring this home.

Will Smith might qualify, but he could be considered more musician than actor.

I'm trying to think of comedy TV stars who came of age in the late 70s to 90s, are still alive, and did not primarily transition into movies.

Michael J. Fox is probably more known for movie than TV, and didn't have anything come out in 2022, so he's out. Matthew Perry also didn't have anything in 2022. David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc both started acting too late, so it isn't a FRIENDS star.

Zach Braff would qualify, technically.

IDK. I don't want to make the final guess, but I'm a big fan of Scrubs so I might guess him if no one else goes for it.

Zach Braff could work, but I'm not sure the Tiger Beat connection is there.

I've been looking around at Tiger Beat covers to see what I should be narrowing this search down to, and I haven't seen a single non-white guy there. I'm not saying it's impossible that our guy isn't white, but it seems pretty unlikely.

I'm leaning towards Kirk Cameron for the final guess here.

He's got a lot of Tiger Beat coverage, and checks off every other box as well. If nobody stops me in the next few minutes, I'm guessing Kirk Cameron.

Joey Lawrence (born Joseph Lawrence Mignogna Jr.) is an American actor and singer from Pennsylvania. He is a former child actor, and has had an active career since the early 1980s. Lawrence is primarily known for television roles in sitcoms. He portrayed middle child Joseph "Joey" Russo in the popular sitcom "Blossom" (1990-1995), and male nanny Joseph Paul "Joe" Longo in the sitcom "Melissa & Joey" (2010-2015). As a singer, he is mostly remembered for the hit song "Nothin' My Love Can't Fix" (1993), which peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lawrence was a full-on teen heartthrob, evidenced by his multiple covers and appearances in the teen idol magazine Tiger Beat. You can fetch one here and pin it up on your wall this evening.

Lawrence turned 46-years-old in 2022 and marked the year with four acting credits in movies and television shows, including a voice-acting credit in the animated television series, Zootopia+.
