I agree, that's a great guess. Will be surprised if it's not correct.

You could just say that you are unable to answer that question, which would give us another question . . .
I disagree. He did give an answer, and it's useful - because we can rule out both totally pure innocent heroic individuals, and we can rule out totally black-hearted, despicable, irredeemable villains.

Our target is more of a "tweener", as it were. Someone capable of doing both bad and good.
Completely agree, probably one of the more useful clues you have.
Guess you're just a Grinch! I used a question that couldn't be answered to give away the most useful clue in my game without counting that as a question:

The guy may not be a household name, but he did something really, really big.
This is what got me thinking. If it's really, really big, someone must have made a film, right?
I can't answer with certainty whether he was ever portrayed in a film, so I'll give you a hint. A far right party is pissed (or pretending to be pissed in a vainglorious attempt to win votes) that there hasn't been a major blockbuster made about your elusive friend.

The, the, the... THE GRINCH!🎄

Well done!

I was getting worried there for a minute, was starting to resort to subliminal ‘who’ drops and splashes of green to trigger some inspiration. I figured this character had to be popping up on a daily basis these days it would have been cracked in record time. 🎅

Haven't watched the animated version this year, but dammit I was singing the "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" song a couple of days ago! *facepalm* Great pick, VI!

Not sure if I’m alone in never knowing he’d ever appeared in puppet form on some show called ‘The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss‘.

No idea he had video games either.

I have heard of that show. Never watched it. Not surprised the character was in a video game but that's almost a red herring.

Yup. Exactly why I made sure to point out wasn’t exclusively a video game character, could have easily burnt half your guesses going down that path to a dead end.

Jay! Krampus (and the answer) got me on the right track so thank you Jamie.

I had thought Jamie’s comment on Gremlins being a ‘good seasonal choice’ may have also inspired some ideas in the right direction.

I’m hoping the very well known yet still mildly challenging pick encourages future games to not feel a need to stretch so far off the dart board. I don’t think we need to set as formidable a challenge as Ghegis Khans nephews favourite silk trader or the actor who played the bartender in season 2 of Three’s Company.

:-)

Pfft ... it's obviously Paul Ainsley in his iconic portrayal of "Jim the Bartender" at The Regal Beagle. Who doesn't know that?!

Objection! You implied it was someone who only played a bartender in Season 2 and not in other seasons.

Paul Ainsley played Jim the Bartender in more than one season. Whereas John Ritter, one of the regular stars as "Jack", stood in as a bartender for storyline reasons in the Season 2 episode "Stanley Casanova", first broadcast on November 22, 1977.

Touche, well played!

Now we have to crown Jamie as the undisputed King of 20 Questions.

I had an idea but it turns out, even if the disney point wouldn't be counting against it, Chewbacca wasn't it either.
