Rules

1. Only yes/no objective questions may be asked.
2. If the answer is unclear, question master must clarify why.
3. One guess per person does not count against the total, but additional guesses by the same person do. After all 20 questions are up, three total guesses are allowed.
4. Please choose persons real or fictional that are not horribly obscure. No repeats.
5. Whoever guesses correctly takes over from the previous question master. If they do not want to do it, they may choose who to pass the duty onto or just give it to the first volunteer.
6. If the question master remains undefeated three times in a row, on the third time they must either pass it to a person of their choice, or the first volunteer takes over.

Go!

I'm just feeling an internal urge to ask this question in this form:

Did they have a Penistone?

Was this person at any point a citizen of the region of what is today USA or Canada?

You are being excessively negative, DougJoe.

It wouldn't have made a difference in this case since we would have had to ask a follow-up question anyway, but that was one question!

I can only agree with that. It's a complex question with two propositions. A single answer 'yes' confirms both of them, while 'no' would negate either one or both.

Point taken. Counting as one Q now.

Alright, so

1. Real dead
2. didn't die in the last 100 years
3. not owned a stone named Peni
4. Never been a citizen to the USA&Canada region
5. married (to at least one man, I suppose?)

It would be interesting, if she had married more than once, but that's not a question we should ask right now. Other than that, I think her occupation might be the most interesting information for the next question, so with the 100 years+ timespan I think the best question right now should be

"Was she or her husband ever in a position to officially govern over a (small or big) piece of land (like an aristocrat of varying level, count, duke, earl, king, pharao etc.) for matters of state affairs?"

(like independent or quasi-independent rulers who were recognized by the surrounding area's rulers and not like a group of bandits who just projected power for a period) (sorry for any inconvenience if maybe asking in a complicated way)

She and here husband had an aristocratic title. What that really meant as far as governing power at the time, is, frankly, still a little confusing to me.

An aristo, eh? Tricky... We can safely rule out the 1st Viscount Melbourne, but that still leaves rather a lot...
