Chaqa's all about scumslips. It's one of the worst things about him.

I continue to be woefully unimpressed with Vecna.

Eden… could you point out in small words where byz claims his vote for yiu was solely a meme thing… and define what that means for an old man?
In this context “meme” more or less means “joke,” there’s some nuance to it but it’s not necessary for us.

I don’t know that Byz ever flat-out says “My vote on Eden is a meme,” but he certainly accepts the framing of the wagon on me, which he started and encouraged, as a meme wagon in his posts:

Because openly announcing that you’re fabricating a push eliminates any need for people to have authentic reactions. Doubly so when you choose a popular meme target—not that you’d have known I was one, but you deferred to Sabi, who does.
If you don’t give me a reason to vote elsewhere, I’ll gladly sit here until eod

Plenty of successful wagons started as memes. Votes count.

Eden is a reasonable shot at an impactful wolf, so it’s interesting to me. I’m a little wary their wagon has had as much staying power as it had, though I’m.not sure how much of that was just memes. I don’t think we kill here today though, as much as they were my first ping.

Says the guy who openly declared he was meme voting and then spent the rest of the day making up real-sounded reasons to rationalize it!
I made no illusions I wasn’t a hypocrite

Memes are better than logic in mafia 60% of the time anyways
Byz eventually denies that his vote on me was a meme, but as you can see from the quotes above, he clearly accepted the frame that it was a meme wagon and even seemed to sell it as a positive thing in parts (“plenty of successful wagons start as memes,” “memes are better than logic in mafia 60% of the time anyway”). He can retreat to the thinnest technical claim that he never outright said it was a meme, but to act like he didn’t want us to believe it was one, as I’d argue he is doing in the last linked post here, is just plain bad faith.

First, I'm not on the Kouncil. Havent been for a while.
Second, my vote tacked on the end of my rant was poorly placed. They were not connected. I was ranting about some of the tension i observed and was sick of. I voted for you, in a manner common in our game, to urge participation. When you joined i left the wagon. Maybe it's not an effective tool. I haven't kilked someone for that reason. Wasn't going to here, either.
Third, it is a bit wobbly to me that you didn't pick up on those things. You read better than that. I get it though, that you had a lot to catch up on.

Also, you hadn't noticed i had voted for you till i pointed itvout to you.
I barely read at all. I cherrypicked something I wanted to look at and cherrypicked posts from that timeframe I wanted to look at. Thanks for complimenting me on my analytical skillset but I don't deserve it - or, if I do, I didn't use it.

I don't remember you ever pointing out to me that you were voting for me. But again, I don't read much. I figured that one out all on my own!

My reasons for being suspicious of you do not include that you voted for me; rather, you voted for me in tandem with several others without much reason to do so. Being first, as Chaqa was, doesn't really raise any alarm bells, though as stated recently I'd like to see him and Jamie face off. The tension between them is fun. Being second - Bona - could be suspicious, and I'm surprised you didn't point this alternative out to me. He said nothing other than dropping a rogue vote to hammer someone who hadn't posted yet. At least Chaqa made it kinda funny. Rumi was third, and I don't think Rumi is scum at this point. You were fourth, but you had also recently voted for pyxxy in hopes that they would return I guess, and it worked? So you voted for me instead. Maybe that's not all that big of a deal on the face of things. But it still is opportunistic and unnecessary, which caught my eye.

To be frank, I didn't vote you back, and explicitly said this wasn't really worth much thought right now, because I'm probably the only one that cares about a bullshit wagon against me and the odds of wagoning you on evidence that only I care about are slim to none, but it's useful information down the road as people begin to flip and motivations across the board from the early game become more transparent.

I'm sorry that I forgot you weren't on the council anymore. We handed it off to PE, didn't we? Hell if I know. I'm a good admin.

I have an idea as to why, but in context of the Byz-Sabi interaction I discussed, I’d like to hear why you say so. I suspect there’s some constructive criticism that would be helpful to hear

But really I don't see how voting for someone, whether they're already being wagoned or not, because they haven't logged in for the day yet is remotely useful when paired with immediately voting elsewhere once they post one thing - anything! - at all. It's a shitty strategy.

With just over 3 hours left, these people should probably move their votes:

:points: damo666
:points: bo_sox48
:points: Rumi Tobari
:points: ghug
:points: Vecna
Interesting that you want to consolidate on the current candidates when we don't have any very large wagons. Why is that?
There's not a lot of time left and it does not appear likely that any of those one-vote wagons will take off. Unlikely we'll [redact] Bona or Sabi today.

Bo_Sox has moved now.
Bo moved onto one of the vanity wagons you deemed unacceptable lol

I don't know if you saw it, but I stated that my motivation was more to tie up the votes to keep Eden in. Not because I think Eden is town (I'm still not sure what to think about Eden), but becauuse I find Eden's explanations helpful and consise.

I hadn't read the nametag explanation and didn't know that ties werne't conclusive at the time. And... uh, sorry for kind of spite voting you after I retracted my vote the first time.

Interesting that the webDip forum counts time as having begun on January 1st 1970 at 12:00.

I wonder why that is?

Maybe Kestas is hosting the site on a very old computer.
It's the UNIX standard.
Oh, interesting.
