In the unlikely case (ahem) that it's not Richard Burton, here is a list of male British actors that were over 50 when they died between 1950 and 2000. I used the IMDB list 100 "Great" British Actors (
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls003262084/) as the source. I screened for James Bond films, but may have missed one or two, so if you want to guess one, please double check the filmography.

Laurence Naismith
Alastair Sim
