No.
Is the first movie this character appeared in rated R by the Movie Board?
Yes.

I'm starting to feel this one getting away from you. There are still hundreds of possible characters. I may give some obscure hints if we're not closer after 15.

1. Doesn't exist in real life.
2. Male.
3. Movie character.
4. White.
5. Lives (fictionally) in our real universe.
6. Not the "good guy".
7. Has killed one or more people.
8. American.
9. Portrayed as being younger than 50.
10. Movie or first movie of series released before 2000.
11. Live action movie (not animated).
12. No supernatural powers.
13. Movie or first movie of series rated R.

Not: Roger Rabbit.

As I said to an earlier question, I don't want to get drawn on what "current" or "contemporary" means. I'll say that the film was released within 20 years of the events it portrays.
Is it Private Ryan?
No stupid questions. Guesses are free. Well maybe a little stupid because Private Ryan doesn't die in the move.

1. Doesn't exist in real life.
2. Male.
3. Movie character.
4. White.
5. Lives (fictionally) in our real universe.
6. Not the "good guy".

16. After WW2.
17. Dies a violent death.
18. Movie released within 20 years of the events it portrays.

Hm, this one has me struggling.

Fictional white American male younger antagonist non-supernatural character from a rated R movie released and takes place between 1945-2000 in a real-world setting who has killed people but isn’t a professional criminal. Has horror and violent elements to the movie but wouldn’t be considered a horror/thriller movie.

Taking out horror movies, future based movies, and criminals does limit it, especially as a rated r movie so I’m inclined to look at either war movies or Kubrick/Tarantino type movies (thinking out loud to help inspire smarter people then me to figure this out).

As we’re down the wire I’m going to throw out a few random guesses.

Colonel Kurtz - Apocalypse Now
Buffalo Bill - Silence of the Lambs
Travis - Taxi Driver
Leonard "Gomer Pyle" Lawrence - Full Metal Jacket

You missed "dies a violent death".

Colonel Kurtz does die in Apocalypse Now so is possible.
Buffalo Bill dies (gunshot) although it's not a particularly bloody / violent death.

Travis Bickle does not die, he is still alive at the end of the movie, so that rules him out.

Leonard Lawrence dies (commits suicide) but is not portrayed as a villain, just a somewhat unstable failure. So I don't think it's him either.

Oh, this is a long shot, but is it Clyde Shelton, as played by Gerard Butler in the film "Law Abiding Citizen".

He's a white American man, a fictional character, portrayed as something of an anti-hero, who kills people and then dies a violent death, and who is not involved in organised crime, and the film is set in the contemporary USA in the early 2000s.

If this is right, it's quite a hard one, as it took me a long time to remember this film.
