Re: M72 - “Echoes of Evelyn” - Game Thread [HIDDEN]

#2301 Post by Jamiet99uk » Thu Jan 20, 2022 12:56 pm

On D1 I presented a case on Foxcastle. I felt like there was a high probability of him being scum. The summary of this case, based on all of Foxcastle's D1 posts at that time, was:

1. He was very dismissive of the DeathLlama wagon, and when DL shows up he seems very keen for people to re-evaluate their DL votes, even before DL has said anything useful.

2. He predicted that Durga would want to kill lurkers, yet when Durga did vote for a lurker (DeathLlama), he implied Durga was joke voting.

3. He repeatedly offered help and support to Clamp.

4. His other posts were composed mostly of sarcasm and bloviating.

This does NOT remind me of Town!Foxcastle earnestly looking for scum and trying to solve the game. Zero scumhunting was evidenced in these posts.

This DOES remind me of Scum!Foxcastle trying to appear present and active without doing much, lowkey defending a lurker and lowkey buddying the newbie.

Now we know that DeathLlama was town. Does this change the picture? Not totally sure, but I don't think so. Scum!Fox knowing that DL was town might have tried to gain some cred from defending him? Hmm. Vecna did not mention DeathLlama at all when he entered the game so perhaps trying to avoid the issue. Certainly Vecna has made no response to my Foxcastle case. Nor has Vecna made any effort whatsoever to find scum.

I think Vecna is scum.

Yes, when?
And not only that, but why, wherefore, and for what reason?

Bozo's find on Bob strengthens the case against him. I do not foresee changing my vote so #$end
This is just lousy play. It doesn't strengthen the case in any logical way. Not that damo... Has a case on me. I am even simultaneously in his top 5 scumreads and not in them at the same time, which he still hasn't accounted for.
##vote damo
I simply forgot I named in scum5

Hello.

@Durga / @Kgray: I apologise if I was rude to you just after EoN. I had consumed one too many bloody Mary's.

Damo, what is your obsession with end-voting in this game? Is Brainbomb sitting your account?
Just seems apt. I started a theme, I'll probably get bored of it soon enough. One end vote with a ton of players hardly matters.

Out of interest, what do you think about Flum's post there?
it literally does not matter, why are you asking her this now?
Why doesn't it matter what Durga thought about Flum's post?

This is a very odd response from Kgray.

The NK probably implies one of my supposed towncore is scum.

@ghug silly reaction test

Chaqa no longer scum suspect

@Demo you just want to look at total wordcount as a metric

@Jamie from what pov and at what stage?

Basically 1 - ((PlayerCount-Bcount)C5/PlayercountC5)
@Damo: Now, and from either your POV or that of a neutral spectator who doesn't know the rolls, or both.
Ham or cheese roles?

Probabilty of no Bs from outside pov is 16C5/19C5 = 364/969 or about 37.6%. So prob of at least 1 B scum is about 62.4%.

From my (town) pov it is 15C5/18C5 = 143/408 or about 35% no Bs or 65% at least 1 B.

Obviously the same is true of any arbitrary group of 3.

When I have time. I've not had a lot of time for this game yet. Sorry. I will step up later on (if I survive).

Yes it was purely a lucky guess, and I found it very amusing.
That is either very coincidental or you already had that information for some reason.
If you're going to keep pretending this has any meaning, I already knew I was in M69 as I think my most recent game, so I chucked that in. M64 was entirely pulled out of my ass, I didn't even know if I was in that game. M56, which you are conveniently ignoring that I also listed, did not have ghug in it, but was mentioned earlier this game, and I needed three examples for symmetry and emphasis about how silly it was that ghug expected me to remember exact examples. So yes, it was a slightly strange coincidence, would you like to vote me over it, or will you wait until celaph and Donny jump on first?
I might vote for you. Throwing in M56 does not change that fact you mentioned the 2 recent games where ghug did claim a roleblock.

Six minutes after your first response where you listed these 3 games, you posted this:

Also in M64 N1.
I'm not sure there were any before that, but you get the point. There is a precedent for this.
What made you decide to go check these games in that 6 minutes, and did you just looks at these 2 games, or did you look at all games since M64?

You're really changing your read on rdr because I liked your case?
You liking kgray's case on rdrivera is the most suspicious thing I have seen so far in this game.
Why would this be?
I did not agree with kgray's case and don't see why ghug found it "very compelling", especially since kgray seemed to be backing off on her suspicion of rdrivera somewhat. What part is compelling, her reasons for suspecting rdrivera or the part where she was hedging her read?

What made you decide to go check these games in that 6 minutes, and did you just looks at these 2 games, or did you look at all games since M64?
I decided to check those games because I wanted to show that my feeling wasn't unfounded, and I didn't do it initially because it was beside the point. In that 6 minutes I checked every non-mini from M69 to M58, first checking the player list to see if me and ghug were on there and then Ctrl+Fing "role" in ghug's posts. I disregarded the game we were scum together, obviously. If I missed a game we were both in it was entirely due to the fact that my check was not particularly thorough.

Now do you want to vote me for picking numbers yet? How about you explain why I as scum would put the two correct games in as references and also M56? Why wouldn't I only put in the two correct games or instead put in three completely wrong ones? In fact, why on earth would I have searched past games where ghug claimed RB if I was scum? And how do you reconcile this being scummy with the fact that I made the exact same assumption about ghug being roleblocked frequently in a previous game?

While you're at it do you have any scumreads that aren't blatantly lazy pedantry, sheeping, or tunneling? Any original thoughts? Any thoughts on people other than me? Or do you plan to just scumread me and call it a day?

Well, finally catched up (sort of, speedy reading).

What I got.

Townlean on Gold. I like the push on Chaqa, not sure if Chaqa is scum faking it but Gold arguments seems to have a towny mindset. Chaqa appeal to GM (even not needed) is what I feel might point to town Chaqa.

Bob looks more scummy and Bozo point about him having a ready issue is valid.

##vote Bob

My other scumreads (besides Kgray that I know I won't have any support and hope Cop can sort): tfb and Fox/Vecna.
