I thought my WebDip Mafia buddies would be interested / amused to know that the finale of the UK TV show "The Traitors", which is basically a televised game of Mafia, has gripped British TV viewers to such an extent that the outcome of the game is national news:

I was rooting for Harry.

The key difference is the players are acting more as individuals than a team since only the survivors share the pot. It's good though.

Out of boredom, I searched up mafia world championship, and came across mafiauniverse. What is this mafia world championship? I would look it up on the website but the UI is not fun

It's an annual Mafia game (or small series of them) involving representatives from multiple different forums where Mafia is played.

Yeah, MafiaUniverse has a great Wiki but a fairly poor UI.

the championship? This (or rather last) year, it was ghug and he did a very fine job! As expected from a council member and one of our oldest and most invested, and dare I say, best players.

Bonatogether did also a nice job as a substitute who subbed in for another site that couldn't fill the spot, very nice from our young talent (though he seems to be quite occupied by college right now).

For the coming championship? No one has volunteered so far and it shouldn't be up soon, I think. But people who were playing last time can't this time. So no ghug or bona for us this year.

Is there a possible way we could do a game with: 24 hr days, 24 hr nights with no chat? It'd be something to try and based on comments from Sweet, it might be interesting to see how it shapes the game.

I'd also like to run a mini with a Hell's Angels or Quebec Biker War theme.

Following worcej's warning in last game can we formalize what is allowable in game wrt edits/changes.

Fwiw I don't give a fig about avatar or signature changes but editing the poster's name when quoting really bugs me (Jamie). Probably why he does it lol.

Why is is “Kouncil” and not “Council”

It started a few years ago, as a kind of joke (but not as funny) regarding Soviet tyranny, and proclaiming that the evil all powerful Kouncil in here is similar to Russian Soviet Tyranny. It doesn't make a lot of sense. But I like it.
