Old Rodannon had grown corrupt. Its elders were consumed with the hoarding of gold and platinum. The guilds had become mired in politics and bureaucracy. The King was sane, he was beloved, but he was surrounded by meddlers. The Queen tried to pry away the leeches but it had become unmanageable in the Spring of 1334.

The Nightlords rallied around their commander Gavin. The Seawailers rallied around the witch known as Raelynn. The Rogues of Old Rodannon sold secrets to anyone holding coin in their purse. King Brisbane was losing his kingdom and his power.

Rumors arose of a distant land and new kingdoms to trade with. Opportunities to expand, learn, and gain more renown. Raelynn was first to announce interest in studying this mysterious new land.

Within weeks of its discovery the King learned his brother Artisan was planning to claim dominion over this new land with his own colony.

The Nightlords took the opportunity to declare independence and defy the crown. 11 Castles left the monarchy to follow their own vassals leaving the King weak and afraid.

Seeing no other options the King annuled his marriage to Maria, the Queen who had been loyal and faithful to him. She was devastated and shocked when she was removed from the castle she had called home.

King Brisbane wasted no time remarrying, choosing Raelynn the witch of the seawailers as his new bride. It made no sense to his advisors, nor to Maria the now deposed Queen.

Within days the king sent 500 civilians onto Seawailer vessels to sail for the new land. With his last order he placed his eldest son Trevor in charge of the kingdom. Without another word to anyone King Brisbane vanished forever along with 500 travelers who boarded the seawailers vessel.

With the King missing and the kingdom divided, young Trevor launched a daring mission to colonize the lands his father dreamt of controlling.

INTRO

Fantasy Simulator is a role playing game, colony management simulator and mystery. The game will involve solving puzzles, keeping citizens happy, fed and controlling the kingdoms budget. There are individual challenges each phase that players must resolve to prevent colonial unrest.

Phases are 48 hours.

● Each phase the colony consumes 1 of your Provisions. If the colony reaches 0 provisions the colony has collapsed and the game ends.

●Every phase the colony must maintain its Renown. if the colony reaches 0 Renown it fails. Renown is a combination of how respected the colony is, its morale, and a measure of its lack of corruption.

● Every phase the colony must remain solvent. There is no ability to control the colony if all the money dries up. If you reach 0 Gold, you lose.

●Population and Health are one category this game which is simply Citizenry. If at anytime the citizenry reaches 0 the colony has collapsed.

In addition to metrics the colony must make decisions about what to do with its people. There are only a few basic things to build, recruit and do early on. the list expands and grows based on the desires of the players.

Provides safety from Siege 1

Allows training of Priests

Allows building of fishing boats

Gather Berries (+1 provision for every 50)

Fishing (+1 Provision for every 50)

Hunting (+1 Provision for every 50)

(All soldiers trained a full phase become an Attack of 2)

Train spearmen (Trains soldiers in use of spears, granting a bonus vs cavalry)

Train archers (Trains soldiers in ranged attack)

Train Shieldmaidens (Trains women as soldiers)

Train City Guard (Trains city guards who defend structures)

CHOOSE A TITLE:

Titles

Master of Ships

If a player chooses this title, kingdom gains +1 Provision per ship.

Master of Laws

If a player chooses this title kingdom gains renown for every proposal that passes.

Crown Regent

If a player chooses this title they may replace a crisis card with a new one any phase.

Night Commander

If a player chooses this the kingdom will automatically gain +1 Atk on all trained soldiers

Master of Coin

If a player chooses this title the kingdom gains +1 Commerce for each building

Hand of the King

If a player chooses this title they may view any Npc rolecard at any time.

Advisor of the Faith

If a player chooses this title they may commune with a deity 1 question per phase for every chapel built

Master of Tome

If a player chooses this title the kingdom may train wizards immediately.

Beastmaster

If a player chooses this title gain +1 Commerce, +1 Provision, +1 Renown for every beast captured.

Arborist

If a player chooses this title the kingdom gains +1 Commerce per phase for every forest tile adjacent.

Guildmaster

If a player chooses this title they gain the ability to see any dens, caves, and treasure within 5 tiles of their location.

RESOURCES

Resources are abundant, and randomized. You automatically gather resources with 1 of your citizenry unless you wish to skip that action.
