2 years and 4 days ago (I had the receipt, which is why I noticed the difference) the same meal cost 7.65.
Wow, this is quite a rise! What do you eat with half a day's payment?

1599 the Bard (if it was him) was very busy. Four of his most famous plays were written in that year: Henry the Fifth, Julius Caesar, As You Like It, and Hamlet.

Yes, the Bard, you got it right, my friend.

And back to our counting.

1601 ΑD Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex, a longtime favourite of Queen Elizabeth I of England, begins a rebellion against the Queen. The revolt is crushed the next day. The Earl of Essex and Henry Wriothesley, the 3rd Earl of Southampton are arrested and charged with treason. Essex confesses to the plot and then implicates his co-conspirators. Monsfort is executed, but Essex is sentenced to life in prison. He is released two years later after the Queen's death.

Αrticle 1602 of the Geec civil code defines the details of the legal supervising of minors.

I hope you are refering to Guy Fawkes Day, and not to the film, "Vendetta," which while quoting the G.F. song/poem, has nothing to do with the sentiment or concept of Guy Fawkes Day itself...

But meanwhile, back in The Counting Game:

1607 A group of ill-chosen and ill-prepared settlers landed almost by accident on the North American continent, establishing a colony at Jamestown. The fuddled and blundered and stumbled through to the beginning of European permanent presence across the pond. Nearly failing, nearly dying-out, nearly giving up, they held on until a 1610 resupply effort brought new hope, better chosen resources and tools, and better prepared colonists.

Yes (obviously, given the context), though I didn't want to elicit what was originally intended as anti-Catholic sentiment either
