I think this would be a good game to try a hypocop/hypotracker strategy, with everyone giving a cop report and a tracker report. With the mafia not knowing whether there is a cop or tracker, the reports would be harder than usual for the mafia to use to ID the cop/tracker, but if the cop/tracker in NKed, his results will be known.

FWIW - Day 1 is always a shit show with little to go off of and turns into a 'maybe we will get lucky' type of wagoning. I don't think I've seen many games where a scum was hit on D1...

I really enjoyed the N1 start of the toy mafia that Jaime ran, because it gave a lot more potential substance to the D1 lynch.
We've had games where scum was hit on D1.

Are you hardclaiming town this game?
I seem to be on a rather towny streak in my mafia games...
This does not sound like a hard claim. The point I think xorxes is making is that if you maintain that you never fake claim, you will be asked to hard claim town.

I also think a no lynch vote should be considered over a random vote for a game of this size.

Dear Townie Friendship Friends,

As a new player of the game who read some stuff that some guy wrote but doesn't really know what is happening-

?Why did @damo666 immediately toss @brainbomb under the bus? After reading all the posts, this feels like the most mafioso move of the game so far, trying to direct the moves of True Town Friendship. @damo666 is a mafiosofo crudsmucker.

##VOTE damo666

@Nepththys:

1) When in doubt, lynch in out. Lynch @damo666 because they acted too quickly and tried to force us to crush @brainbomb. Even if they are town we are down one butthole.
2) I am only lurking because I'm at a work offsite this week. My bad. I'll be on in EST mornings and nights. Lynch @damo666.
3) Circle the Wagons is a great Darkthrone album.

...

4) Doctor protect me.

I'm going to reply to myself here:

Some people seem in favour of no lynching, but again, why did @damo666 drop poo on @brainbomb? Is there any forum-beef between these players I'm not aware of?

@bozo

You say that a hypo claim is good here, what are your thoughts on the trade off it would require for everyone to come up with their own claim eating into the time people have for scum-hunting. I can see this becoming an issue for people with limited time or variable schedules.

With regards to the no-lynch I can see where you are coming in that it would give us more time to gather information. However, in the end, if we don't act, scum wins by default therefore why would we give them a head start? Curious for you to expand on this a little if it's something you genuinely want us to consider.

Hi Jamie.

As brain is apparently so good as scum I think we should lynch him just in case.

Don't vote Brain, I have a bro crush on him... and his nonsense is all the more fun...

Since we normally try and avoid lynching a new player but end up mislynching them by D2 anyway.... lets try to lynch a new player and see what happens instead...

Are you trying to proposition Brain or just making a really horrible push at a wagon...

@brain (not game related)

Mainly cause I'm suuuuper bored, but can you elaborate why you think the questions would be lynch worthy? At the time, and to this day, I think they are fair questions to get someone's perspective on something that, as Squigs mentioned in the post, are more controversial.

Just curious for my own learnings.

As the tracker resolves before the doctor, I am assuming that they wouldn't see any doctors visits? Is this correct?

My votes thus far have clearly been jokes as I am sure you are well aware.
Tell me, is it scary being scum in your first game?

What is the point of this kind of speculation?
Just trying to start a conversation and see where it went.
OK, so why do you think doc/cop/oracle is the best combo then?
Cop stronger than tracker. Hard evidence v circumstantial.
Doc multi use v Vig one use (and possible misuse).
FN v Oracle I'm not so sure about.

The tracker will observe the following people making visits: the mafia member performing the NK, the hooker when roleblocking, the vigilante when killing, the friendly neighbor when visiting, and the doctor when saving someone.
