RQS: Random Questioning Stage, an alternative to the Random Voting Stage for starting a game of Mafia. This has one player posing either a survey to all players or a separate question to each player

##vote xorxes to save him playing 2 games at once
Can't you at least wait until the other game starts?

##VOTE damo so he can sub for the other game in case someone drops out.
OK ##unvote

When does the other game start?
I don't believe we have a start date established yet. Durga and I are still working on the setup.

if squiggs RQS was useful to you in cultafia you should talk about the circumstances of that game.

namely this:
TOWN HAS WON… THE CULT IS DESTROYED.
Original Cult
DrCJG
Nephthys :!: :!:
@food, seeing it seems you are the only other newer player here I'm gonna hit you with what Squigs hit me with on my first
Do you feel squiggs questioning you in that manner (when you were scum), was helpful?

FWIW - Day 1 is always a shit show with little to go off of and turns into a 'maybe we will get lucky' type of wagoning. I don't think I've seen many games where a scum was hit on D1...

I really enjoyed the N1 start of the toy mafia that Jaime ran, because it gave a lot more potential substance to the D1 lynch.

I agree I just wanna wrap my head around what nepthys is doing because its potentially a very wholesome entry to the game.

basically hes taking questions someone asked him when he was a bad guy.
and hes asking a new player the same exact questions.

I just wanted some perspective on if nepthys was afraid when squiggs asked him those questions. or if nepthys was impressed by the questions. I just wanna start a dialogue also because this would be his first town entry if hes town, and id like to at least respect his approach even if its copying from a past game.

just want some discussion about it

its a bit different in smaller games as theres a lower margin for error and fewer people to parse.

Which of the 8 possible town PR combos would we like?
What is the point of this kind of speculation?
Just trying to start a conversation and see where it went.
OK, so why do you think doc/cop/oracle is the best combo then?

What did you like about those questions?
Is this directed at me? If so you're gonna have to spell it out to me, I have no clue what this is supposed to be asking?
the RQS squiggs used on you in cultafia. what did you like about his RQS
You may recall from that game, regardless of how things turned out I got pretty mad about being effectively ignored due my "lack of available meta". It honestly made me consider whether I actually wanted to sign up for another game or not. Seeing as;
1) I decided to come back
2) The mafia group seems pretty small
3) Food is signing up for (I believe) his first game
I wanted to include him in the discussion so that he may actually enjoy this rather than being cast to the side and only being relevant in the "oh shit, I have no reads, its the new guy".

With regards to why those questions, I feel as though the answers are (relatively) NAI and honestly something that will hopefully help him to more comfortable posting and engaging with the game.

I would honestly be happy with any answer as long as it has some reasoning.

Does that help to explain it? Happy to elaborate further if needed.

As to whether the questions scared me, yes.

I was being asked my someone who appeared to be an established player some questions that people obviously have some strong feelings about and seem to get judged for (From what I understand, the classic Ezio no lynch seems to be a crowd favourite) and I felt that a poor answer would condemn me and all of my reads in that game and future, to being ignored as I would be passed off as an idiot.
