Although I don't really have strong feelings in any direction I think that of all the arguments made the one against Damo is the best. So I'm going to park my vote here for now.

Which argument against damo you find most compelling?

What's there to explain? Of course as town you have to make judgement calls all the time. What do you find scummy about that?

Tell me about your vote on Damo...

Do you really think if a majority said lets do hypoclaiming that a meaningful number of town would avoid participating? And even if a couple didn't participate would it be a major problem? 1) The cop/tracker/FN could choose not to participate thinking the mafia would avoid him entirely and he could reveal in due time; 2) A VT could not participate and the mafia would have to decide whether or not he is a PR trying to avoid cover... there is really endless WIFOM as long as we are talking about only a couple people...

My vote on damo is to put pressure on him, as I stated, but clearly it isn't working because well... he's been gone for 22 hours as of writing this. Also, I have to admit this, but I think I have a good understanding of damo: he is dumb. I am not trying to be mean, but parking a vote initially because the word 'rather' was used was just dumb. After moving off me and onto Jaime, who is calling him out for his reasoning on me, is typical as well - damo is typically defensive and doesn't seem to ever really hunt scum. Others have really thought his play is strong, but I feel it has always been more luck than anything.

I also want to emphasize that I do not get any strong town vibes from damo this game like I did in previous ones. That is why I am willing to take a D1 gamble on him - maybe he is town, but maybe he isn't either. Nothing he is doing is alignment indicative to me.

On the hypo claiming: I think that if a majority did suggest hypoclaiming that yes you would get some stragglers to come along, but I feel the people not bought in and just doing it to do it would half-ass it. You could be providing some protection for our cop/tracker and the FN (if we have one), but even the situations you outline (of who does or doesn't) doesn't actually improve the town's position unless everyone does it and is committed to doing it the entire game. And, lets say we get a scum, don't you think it's an opportunity for WIFOM confusion as we dissect what they listed? What if they purposely focused on their team members? What if they purposely focused on town instead?

It almost sounds like you know damo will flip town but you don't want to leave the wagon.

I don't know he will flip town. He is definitely being distant than these past couple of town games that he has played - can't recall if he said he would be for any personal reasons.

Yes, he joined a wagon on me which had two others at the time for a reason that made very little sense and looked more like an excuse than anything else. It seemed like a very opportunistic vote.

There have been attempts at wagons on you and Xorxes, but both have fallen apart.
