Statistically speaking, on Day 1, unless you are scum yourself, Sarah, you must always assume there is a slight chance that any other player is scum. That's the point, isn't it? As town, the only alignment you know is your own. Scum, on the other hand, start the game knowing who the other scum are, and therefore, by a very simple process of elimination, they know that everyone not in their team is verifiably town.SarahK24 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 4:23 pmHuh, good to know.......so there is a slight chance u might be scum this time...statistically speakingJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 4:12 pmActually I guess there is a possible answer to that question, Sarah, sorry.
I think I have been scum in about 25% of my games, roughly.
Brainbomb and I have been in a lot of games together.
Therefore Brainbomb will have correctly scum-read me about 25% of the time, and incorrectly about 75% of the time, very roughly.
Please note, however, it is relatively rare for him to consistently town-read or scum-read someone for an entire game. He changes his mind a lot.
That is why, when people like Brainbomb and BunnyGo declare, on Day 1, that various other people are 100% town, or 100% scum then either:
a) They are deliberately exaggerating, or
b) They are foolishly over-confident in their own abilities, or
c) They are scum.
