What do you expect will be the hardest part about finding scum in a forum game instead of a live game?
How do you scumhunt in live games, and is that adaptable to this format?

I have not read any of the other games here. Like I think aaro mentioned, the page count put me off.

Re experience, I've played a bit of mafia before mostly on a discord server with friends from high school and college. I've also played a fair amount of blood on the clocktower on that server and in person.

Usually I rely on process of elimination for scum reads though for many reasons I think that works better in blood on the clocktower than it will here. With that in mind, I'll try to make a more conscious attempts to actively hunt players.

In the last game I tried a new approach to posting, in which I deliberately limited the number of posts I would use each day. Now, granted, I only did this on one day, but it was very interesting and gave me a much calmer and longitudinal view of the game. It forced me to think more carefully, and to post only when I actually had something important to say.

After the 24hr mark in D1, once 66% of the shitposting is out of the way, I will therefore be adopting this approach again.

I don't especially buy ND 'just being himself' seeing as his attacks have gone beyond the usual people he always fights with and onto people like me who always had a tolerable and relatively amiable relationship with him, but maybe I just erased more about him from my memory

Honestly, ND has always been abrasive. I don’t think he has any prior relationship with kgray and I am not willing to dig in old games to confirm that.

I am with Bunny though - he is making some valid points, albeit abrasive, about several people in this game.

I'm aware of what ND is like - The point is that I fully expected him to immediately descend into toxic arguing with Durga and ghug, but not with myself. I wouldn't categorise his points about kgray as being especially toxic (yet), though.

The weird part is, im quite certain theres still a bunch of people in this game that were in the game where he previously pulled this gimmick.

Hence, its a stratagem. With varying purposes, depending on alignment. It was actually quite effective last time. Too bad he couldn't capitalize on it in the end.
