I think you could be right about aarodactyl, it seems he has just been going along with whoever has been up for the DK, he may just be good at avoiding suspicion as scum.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Well, you're free to be skeptical. I think I was letting my frustration get in the way of actual thinking.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
That's townie. I'm just surprised you'd put real credence into night claims, given that they're made at night.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
It is a little suspicious how much he's been using "info" as a reason for his votes. I hate that, but I think town does it a lot too.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 5:22 amI think you could be right about aarodactyl, it seems he has just been going along with whoever has been up for the DK, he may just be good at avoiding suspicion as scum.

Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I agree his reaction to the NK looked bad, so I reread ghug's case on him, and I think some of the things ghug pointed out do look suspicious. I also reviewed aarodactyl's voting, and he always found a reason to go along with one of the wagons while also expressing doubt he was voting for scum.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Yeah... I think I really wanted HR to be scum haha
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Okay. I'm going to reread his D3. I really thought he was super townie there but I haven't looked back. Can you do that too please?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 5:27 amI agree his reaction to the NK looked bad, so I reread ghug's case on him, and I think some of the things ghug pointed out do look suspicious. I've been putting that off for days tbh so I'll do it too.kgray wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 5:29 amOkay. I'm going to reread his D3. I really thought he was super townie there but I haven't looked back. Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
These are aarodactyl's final votes, excluding D3 and D4. He always seemed to leave himself an option to change his vote, and was not committed to scum reading the town he helped miskill:
aarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 9:21 pmSorry I haven’t been posting much. I just caught up on everything and didn’t realize EOD was so close. I’m going to switch to
##vote ND
My reason behind this is that the initial fighting seemed like a way to clog up discussion. And everything after that has seemed like a way to get attention off themselves. Also I’d be lying if I didn’t say that their posts have also been too abrasive for me, so I won’t be too sad if I’m wrong with the read.
aarodactyl wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 10:21 pm

I'm going to jump on the HB wagon for now since it's my strongest feeling. I'm very open to switching though.
##vote HB
aarodactyl wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 11:17 pmSorry I haven’t been keeping up with the game for the last couple of days. Based on conversation, a lot of what’s being discussed is tied to how people have played in previous games and that’s fairly inaccessible for me.
For now, I agree with flipping Damo. Him, Bona, and HR were my top scumreads. And HR is apparently priest now (though seemingly allergic to actually saying it), there doesn’t seem to be support for a Bona wagon. Also since a lot of people are discussing Damo, we’ll probably get some info from flipping them.
##vote Damo
aarodactyl wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 7:11 pmI’ve been thinking a lot about this and I also don’t feel good about voting for either maniac or Bona. I think flipping them still gives good info but I doubt either are scum. My biggest reason to townread Bona is that he didn’t vote with any of the scum D1 and D2 and that seems like too obvious. I feel like that much distancing is too strong of a signal and the scum were probably too smart for that. That argument only applies to maniac for D1 so I guess I’d feel better about that vote.
I think my vote is still on HR and I think we should make sure we do that in the next one or two DKs but I’ll join the ##vote maniac wagon for today.

ghug wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 2:02 amAaro - I pointed out one post I really didn't like in the Bunny reread, but that's the only thing that really pushes my opinion on his alignment either way. He's done a lot of obvsmarting and very little obvtowning, which is a thing we tend to get caught by with new scum (wjessop, Foxcastle, Tom Bomb to name a few who were all my teammates). This might be the source of the belief that you're the most diabolical scum player on the face of the earth, though I can't say that with confidence.
ghug wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:33 pm-Aaro comes in and shades by name everyone that might have protected teacon (including Jamie) and everyone who ended wasting their votes. He likes Vash, HR, and Chaqa for the timing of their votes, but for some reason not Bunny. He then says he only townreads Vashta, and scumreads Balki, celaph, HB, and kgray. Don't particularly like this post.

Possibly. I haven't had a great record of correctly reading scum (about 50/50 I think), and yall might finally vote celaph once I flip town.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Rereading day 3:
Flum seems scared. Vecna called this out too.
worcej says kgray and I are scum.
HR trying to figure out mechanics and being willing to tell Durga what's what feels very priestly.
Flum too but lamer and no God.
Worcej likes my manchanical analysis.
Reminder that Flum wanted everyone to vote for Yoyo.
HR did that weird thing where he pretended not to know how trackers work.
Aaro posts for the first time post claim and of the day, to ask a mechanical question about whether the kill is performed by one person.
Aaro jumps on Yoyo after Maniac and I do. Scum would know that Yoyo didn't visit anyone, I imagine.
Durga announces Jamie as the scan.
Riot talks like a Brit. "with tracker in". Colonialist scum. Embarrassment to all of us.
Aaro votes Jamie and very respectfully asks Durga what she saw each night (respectful is scum indicative, wanting to know things is town indicative, wanting to know which teammate(s) are caught when we already have one revealed is scum indicative)
I correctly townread Balki for his reaction. Very cool.
kgray wrongly scumreads Balki for the same reaction. Not as cool as me but still a townie reaction imo.
Aaro has still barely posted.
Flum dumbslips first on the tracker not seeing protectives thing.
Flum fakes not knowing that jailed people don't know they were jailed. Probably NAI.
HR tells vig to shoot Flum, which... what???
Still no more aaro posts.
Aaro shows back up to tell us Vash claimed.
Aaro tells us what has to happen mechanically for Durga to survive the night. Town points for this cause I don't think scum are as willing to talk about this, but not strong ones.
Aaro posts again to say that the vig is effectively a VT now.
Tom replaces Vash.
HR and Flum fight.
Aaro tells Tom he's clear.
Aaro asks questions about jailer mechanics.
Aaro is worried my claim plan will out the real jailer.
Then he agrees with my plan.
I'm getting bored, but I'm seeing a lot of mechanical crap and nothing especially townie.

Oh I stopped before this post which absolutely sucks.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:21 amI like this take. It also hedges against the very very small chance that Durga isn't tracker and is trying to pull out the jailer while getting Jamie killed.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:17 amSo the jailer has to out at some point during the night, preferably giving who they saved each night.
Durga outs her report at EoN. If they don't match up, we win. If they don't match up AND the wrong scum member has cc'd jailer, double-win.
I would like to hear why Jamie is 100% scum given what Durga saw just in case they're misinterpreting the rules.

Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
aarodactyl was voting for worcej up until 2 minutes before the post he referred to here, so it is a little odd worcej would be the player he would come up with for town reading D2.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:44 amOh you're 100% right. I forgot teacon didn't flip until N1 was over. I wouldn't have chosen that.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:35 amYou thought Chaqa was town N1, before teacon flipped? Can you point me to a place where you voiced your worcej townread?aarodactyl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:21 am
Solely based on voting, Chaqa and Vashta seem like town. I would have put down Vashta, but we all know the jailer didn't jail Vashta either night. I don't remember exactly why I put down worcej except that they were one of my town reads based on communication on day 2.
As for Worcej:
To be honest, I think I gave away at the start of talking about who'd we jail that I'm not the jailer. So I don't think my answers matter too much. It's also a hard question to answer because I didn't really have any townread D1 because I was getting used to the game, and D2 my townreads were vashta, brain with townleads on vecna, kgray, and worcej. Unfortunately brain died and vashta claimed vig, so I can't put them down as jailed.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 10:23 pmOh, I forgot to mention that I'm slightly leaning town on Worcej and Vecna after reading the first 50 pages.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Yeah he's aggressively avoiding drawing conclusions except "maybe Jamie isn't scum guys".
Wtf is town about this?
Wtf is town about this?
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Aaro said he was cool with everyone claiming who they could have visited because of the holy info, then claimed Durga twice, then said he would have visited Vash night one, and then finally claimed Chaqa and "worked".
Normally I hate this but maybe it looks ok given that he'd have to be smuggler?

Having to reread your own posts to find out who you were town reading seems like something a scum might have to do.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 3:49 amLooking back at my D1 posts, it looks like my only townread was flum because I thought that voting off new players was a good idea. Which in retrospect is a strange choice to make. But for historical accuracy I'll switch my answer to flum, worcej, since it was correctly pointed out that I got confused about when tea was flipped.
