Oh that's interesting, if you change the size of a quote tag, it does not work.

Is coaching ever actually a thing though?
Yes. Per my reading old scum chats when a new player was scum, the more usual players give coaching to the junior players.
We should fight fire with fire. Town coaching sessions

I'll start: stop telling scum in excruciating detail why you think they're scummy as soon as they do it so they learn not to.

Take your time to build your case and slam it home when voting starts mattering.

If there's anything I hate in mafia it's players who think they have the end-all know-all on how to play the game.

Fixing this stupid broken quote thing.

Isn't it just me and PE in this game. PE hasn't even worked yet

I could see a world in which TFB is scum
Yeah. His reads don't evolve with new info (and he excuses that by saying we'll never get info in a no-reveal game), he's mostly talking about mechs and shitposting, and he does not appear to be attempting to solve much at all. Not like him when given a puzzle.

Sabi is in early, and starts talking and asking questions, but never once addresses bozo. They addresses TFB for calling bozo's idea dumb and says he wants to just kill people.

Now, if Sabi knows TFB and Bona and kgray from elsewhere, I guess it might make sense to ignore everyone but who they knows.

But I'm reconsidering my Sabi townlean based on the first few pages.
RL issues causing availability gaps aside, I honestly cannot understand why anyone has a town vibe from Sabi in this game anymore. Sabi's posts have mostly been non-value adding and no real effort to scum hunt. Mostly little jokes here and there.

And before anyone says it: Sabi isn't a noob. Sabi has played mafia on discord and knows how this game works.
You keep saying this but Sabi has given reads on people. You just don't like that they scumread you. And some people aren't as inclined to hunt, and especially when they have irl stuff going on, that's not always scum-indicative.

Do you think voting has not mattered up to this point? Just wondering when you're going to start slamming home some cases.

This bussing for nothing is nonsense. Why do people keep saying this? There are essentially two potential Oracle reveals. If Oracle reveals scum, bussing scum would get incredible towncred. There is a cop and cop scan from JOAT. There are many ways scum can get revealed. (Plus, webdip is bussing happy anyway and I don’t know how much people would chance their ways to adapt to a no flip game).
This lacks some nuance though.

Its 17v4. Town has a full cop, full doc, a JOAT and the oracle.

Bussing is very dangerous when the numbers and PR powers are not the same as they are in a no reveal game.

Not saying it didnt happen. But a scum road to victory in this setup does not seem all that likely to involve a lot of bussing, when it is build around the premise that it is much easier for them to get away with protecting their teammates.
I mean, I agree with this. The whole reason this entered my brain is after the Bona attempted NK. It seems like an odd choice, and I think it’s because scum thought he was JOAT or cop and had a scan in on bozo. If that’s the case, scum may have bussed thinking bozo was a lost cause (eventually). I think kgray or Durga are most likely a) to be PR hunting and think Bona had a scan in and b) more likely to bus anyway. I find Jamie and fisch much less likely to bus in this scenario.

I know that’s a lot of what if’s, but I’m paranoid we are making assumptions about bussing and townclearing people that shouldn’t be.
Which people besides lfischl do you think havent earned their townreads the old fashioned way?

I know y’all don’t believe in townslips but it’s quite hard for me to imagine Sabi not making the obvious realization that mafia know a Docsave instantly from the fact that they went pew pew on someone and that someone didn’t die, if she is mafia. It’s just not something you’d even think about
found it

moving on
Yup that was the second townslip I was mentioning. But yeah you are right that Doom has been free of townslips to my knowledge despite being relatively new. That being said absence of townslips is not proof of or even necessarily and indication of scumminess. Would be a shame to punish a player who is new and doesn't make newbie mistakes simply for being a new player.
So y'all are teammates then?

FTR, I like Doom, but she hasn't really done anything that is super townie yet.
If the doc save is successful we definitely have to kill her tomorrow.
Hmm...I was starting to think the same thing, but with Sabi instead of Doom.
I think Doom have been pretty towny. I think if no other info come around, next day should be between Sabi, lfishcl, Tom and me as we are the biggest question marks and not good choices to be around closer to the end. Maybe throw TFB in this pot too.
Does rd normally concede himself to the kill pool when he's town?

If only bozo were here.

I sorta think that PE is town because of this since he is trying to figure out the role of a dead person, which seems like something town would do and obviosuly scum would be faking since they know the role of everybody.
I assume you mean "alignment" rather than "role" here?
Correct. They know what team jasnah is one, so I don’t know that scum were naturally fake trying to figure that out. I think scum would be more focused on setting up future kills than “solving” the alignment of someone dead. So that makes me think PE is town (or crafty scum)
I don't buy this.

Reminder to JOAT that if you're using your final action tonight, to let us know what you've done in your EoN post.
Reminder to JOAT:

If you put your final night action in the user_id part of a quote, then nobody can read it quickly (much like Chaqa did with his misspelling at EON2).

Other options to make sure people can't read it quickly:

1) use size 5 by:

setting (size=5)text(/size) but with [ ] instead of ()

Then we can only read it if we quote the post

Well...you're clever, you can come up with others.
Size changes were ruler illegal two games ago due to potential for abuse, not sure if that applies here but it should

Just wait until like 55 seconds like I do
Pretty sure Bunny also knows that most scum QT'\s use the voting method as opposed to one bolded order being definitive. Getting 3 people to read your post and vote with 60s left? Or is it different this game and is this why you are pretending to be worried bunny? ;)

Well anyways, cant be too careful. I know I used the last minute claims to kill PRs when I was a single scum remaining.

The size thing is not true I can zoom in to read it on my phone.
weirdly enough, no matter how far I zoom in on chrome, it stays exactly the same small print
