I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm astounded at how often so many of you feel strongly about any opinions on day 1. we don't have data until people start dying, and microreading into meta-analysis of posts on D1 like a waste of time to me. "Was johndoe's joke a joke, or was it a trap wrapped in a joke? he posted 4 times instead of three" [min quota is only 1 btw]

i think having these down lays good foundation for the future, but you all fancy yourselves sherlocks too much

Over the last 3 games, I’ve noticed that usually people who are scummy right out of the gate tend to just be unlucky and also victims of mafia manipulation. I don’t feel that lfishl should be suspicious just because of that.

Do you mean you think the Mafia set bear-traps in their very early posts and then use them to snag unsuspecting townies just walking along the sidewalk innocently eating vanilla ice-cream?

I think it just means that people leave openings early that mafia hook into to feed wagons later. But mafia will do that to somebody regardless. "scummy" is in the eyes of the beholder

this game is unique in that the town PR who are important dont know that they are even important, which is why I would be more sus of someone like Jamie here, or someone like Chaqa here who knows their role, and if it is town they know there really is a slim chance they are someone important. I dont think either of them played normally with that possibility in mind. I think they have both played as if they need to "do" some posts to look active as opposed to really getting invested.
And really why in gods name would any of us get a normal role PM, and do anything other than get curious? invested? compelled?
