Oh, celaph and Durga, my bad.
I read the vote tracker on the bot wrong.
That's fair, I didn't even check. I just believed Bona
I'm trustworthy =D

@durga
Why do you expect to be buddied?

I have not done the math, but it seems clear that we should vote from the five. Otherwise brain's question is wasted?

I think you are, actually. But you fooled me last game so I have to be at least somewhat suspicious of you...

I think it wouldn't be wasted, since it could be useful later. But I guess my issue with voting in that five is, how long does that last? If it's only one scum in that group we could be restricting ourselves to a pool with a lot of town and it could take a while to hit scum.

Well, this is a pretty bad start for town. A town DK and a lame question. I don't know what is acceptable for the GMs, but the group of three idea was better and Bozo suggestion was a lot better
Also this is very normal town!Rivera, I think.

We're not shooting randomly in the group of 5 - we're voting who we think is scum.

In the group of 5, it's the person who I view as most likely to be scum.

Well yeah, but still. It's either 1 to 3 out of 5, or 3 out of 11, right? So... without knowing how many scum are in the Jamie voters, it's hard to say what gives us a better shot at hitting scum.

Regardless, I agree we should vote for who we think is scummiest, and it's even better if that person ends up in that group of 5 (well, 4, but whatever).

To be honest I’d rather vote between you, Durga and vecna opposed to including celaph and bona. Apart from the confusing Durga vote, I think they are more likely town than scum, but it could be either of them.

We don't know if the proportion of scum inside the group of 5 is different from than the group, so not until late game (when, in theory, most of the group of 5 has flipped, and a lot of other people besides) is the group of 5 useful for scumhunting. Quick math (assuming equal proportions) suggests that 1 scum in the group is the most likely, but we won't know until we've flipped a lot of people.

What do you mean by the "confusing Durga vote" and can you please give some insight into *how* you're deciding who's scummy and who's towny, rather than just saying someone is more likely town than scum?

celaph hasn't been really doing much, but their tone is good and I've done well there before

kgray feels like kgray from previous games (i've never played with scum!kgray, though), so while I'm not gonna bet anything on it, I think she's town

vecna went for jamie pretty aggressively, which I don't see scum doing unless they think they can get an easy miskill (admittedly not impossible here)

durga hasn't done anything and doesn't feel like durga from previous games (again, I've never played with scum!durga)
