I think we may be at or over 20 with the pending questions, unless I’m counting wrong

Re: Twenty questions, round 474
By my count the next one will be 19.
Ernst's question is next though, if we are up for rearranging, I think Hom's would be the most useful before free guesses.
Notwithstanding the above, I defer to those who have asked the questions. If Ernst wants his question then that is his call to make without interference from me.
Sparty can correct the above if my count is off.

Re: Twenty questions, round 474
I guess you all ran a bit over on the number of questions...
Let's have the following happen.
- You get one question right now.
- I will (likely) give a hint after the question.
- We will have a pause for free guesses (although free guesses are welcome now).
- Then we will have a final question and then final guesses, as usual.
How is that?

Asking the audience, what about the following as a question:
Was he ever a senator or Governor?

Re: Twenty questions, round 474
No.
Free hint: You all spent several questions asking about the first letter of his first name. While there is nothing unusual about his names (he has a clearly-defined first name and a clearly-defined last name, just like the two people already guessed), I don't think that narrowing down his first name is likely to help you figure out the correct answer - I would be impressed if any of you knew his first name without looking it up.
Now it is time for (more) free guesses.
