If I'm understanding this right, day 1 we should probably take the opposite of the investigation result. It doesn't just say investigation failed, right? And do VT have to pick the same scum as the investigator? If the cop investigates ScumA but all VT chose ScumB, does it still succeed?

But that's just my opinion and I gracefully accept the GM clarification/ruling.

So just a scenario to explain how that would work:

7 Players remain.

5 Town including the Investigator are still alive.
2 Mafia Goons are alive.

The investigator investigates BOB, who is a VT.

BOB fails to send a night PM to the GM.

All of the other VTs guess GUAK, who is one of the Goons. Therefore the 50% town "help" threshold is met.

The GM will post in the thread to declare that BOB is MAFIA.
