Because then they are guaranteed to lose, because they make the Alien win.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:37 amI think there's no way you can guarantee that scum will decide to play along. You are basically telling them they have to significantly reduce their chances of winning in order to not lose, which is a pretty weak deal to try to "force" them to take. Why shouldn't they screw us?

Damo can you answer this in the next 2 minutes please?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:26 amI think I understand it.
How can scum be certain of the identity of the Alien? Remind me of that part.

Because then they lose. Their only chance of victory is to comply and solo.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:37 amI think there's no way you can guarantee that scum will decide to play along. My point is that we are not offering them a better option.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:37 amBecause then they are guaranteed to lose, because they make the Alien win.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:37 amI think there's no way you can guarantee that scum will decide to play along. Okay, sure, it's "technically" a better option that the last, lonely scum gets to try. But the odds are really, really against them, and hardly better than just screwing town for the spite of it.
I would totally applaud them for doing it. And one scum can, in fact, come back to win against those odds. I would know, I did it. But when it comes down to their win conditions, I think most people playing scum have an implicit bias toward "if scum can't win, screw town over." Damo's plan does nothing to remedy that.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Ah. Whoops. I'm assuming they targeted alien and NK failed. They could have NKd (why?) or targeted a saved person (you? why?). I'm confident in the assumption but yes it is not certain.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:26 amI think I understand it.

I don't like your plan because I don't see how this helps town.
You're counting on the scum deciding to throw one of their two last players into the fire to coordinate, assuming they even explicitly know who the alien is.

They got no option unless they want to lose.

Seriously, you're the one always going about not voting for un-cc'd PR claimants. I can't help it if you're making a mockery of yourself with this.

Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
We can perhaps resolve your claim if you wait for a GM to answer your call. You very clearly want to avoid that, however, because you're hammering. Your claim is therefore totally insincere, it appears to me. It has all the value of a claim made by a drunken Brainbomb in the middle of the night.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:47 amJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:45 amFoxcastle is now obv-scumming here.
