Something about bunny feels to me too. although I can't tell if it is something bleached over from the game I was in with him or ai. Though Jamie does bring up a good point.
Maniac seems to be maniac but his self constructing rules seems to be either an excuse to limit time or just grandstanding. I need more time to figure that out.

Yes there is a reason.

Rule 1 - later on in the game (assuming my scum buddies don’t bus me and I survive that long) I can just pick someone who wasted their votes early on. Saves me the hassle of reading the thread and putting much effort in.

Rule 2 - saves me the hassle of reading the thread and putting much effort in.

Rule 3 - I’m only reading stuff written in black. You can probably guess the reason why.
You're a maniac not using dark mode?

Oh, @ThreeWiseNewPlayers There's DARK MODE!! Why is your background still harsh and white?
I've been using dark mode for ages and it's epic
Same and totally agree. It's the way to go.

Heres how you win at mafia
scum knows town wont kill lurkers
scum lurk
town kills everyone else
by the time town kills lurkers, town is all thats still lurking
I don't think lurking by the sake of lurking will give scum the win. Chaqa won last game because he was able to mimic his town meta that involves lurking, but he posted enough at some points to get into most people blind spot.
If an usually active player tries this it won't work.

I'm liking this from bb, though it will reflect poorly if a lot of scum are active D1/D2.

GM NOTE:

+1's are not allowed in this game.

Sorry, I buried it among the rules, but since last game they were allowed, I'm going to reiterate.

(+1ing you handsome GM is still encouraged however)
Y'all should +1 my wonderful creation here:

@durga I think you also wanted to see it?

Until now I have good town vibes from Eden, Vecna and Jamiet.

I have mixed feelings on Brain and Bunny.

And I think Ghug is scum this time.

The others just don't gave me an impression.

Random lobbies are trash for sure. Gotta have a crew to play with. We do voice chat for the meetings, which makes it reminiscent (though not the same as) f2f mafia.

Good lord what happened to Eden, he's become a Flum-type.
Don't you insult Fluminator like that.

@all: brainbomb stepped up for the last few pgs, but I still wanna space him because I'm still pretty sure he's mafia from earlier interactions. Nothing he did to step up is outside his range and his start was still suspicious.
RE: brainbomb's point about lurkers - it's true that mafia have generally occupied the space just above hardcore lurking in our metagame recently, and it makes sense to double back and check on those slots in the last several hours before EOD1. But it doesn't make sense to be worrying about lurkers less than a day into a game starting right before New Year's Eve, as lurking is much more likely than normal to be NAI right now. Especially when there are active players to press on things!

Why?
He's trying to get people to focus more on the lurkers and inactive people. If it turns out that a lot of scum were active, then he's getting people to look away from the scum which is a bad look. Not enough to shoot him over, but enough to be a point on a longer list.

As to why I think it's otherwise a good look: it feels honest and like it was made by someone who is playing to win instead of playing for fun. Perhaps I'm overcompensating from last game, but I think as a rule of thumb it's harder to maintain a fake persona in a more active game.

Dark mode continues to not have the little red thing on unread posts, so I continue to not use it.

But if you're going to do so, then why is that mafia-indicative behavior?
This is a great question. It depends on play style.

One style that many play is "just try to be town!me and hide". This is good if you can do it. Many struggle with the basics of hunting when they know their teammates.

Another style is to try and manipulate and steer the conversations while hiding. This has been more what I've done the first couple and last game (but not the one before) as scum.

But the real question is: what is the person actually thinking when writing the post? Even scum like me who go full method and hunt as hard as they do when they're town have priorities in the posts they choose to make.

So. Why did you make that post?
I'm expanding my range of meme mastery by brazenly shitposting through day 1 and softing a PR so I get shot instead of the big brain big egos in this crew. Then when mafia inevitably quintuple-cross busses on day 1 and wins through town implosion for the third game in a row nobody can blame me!
This "I am softing a PR" crap is really rubbing me the wrong way.

Also I'm the priest.

What differences are you seeing?

Bunny to me is always quite intense, responds quickly to details, doesn't always see the big picture until he takes a break.
He seems more comfortable pushing a town bunny narrative and just more comfortable drawing attention to himself than last game. See: celebrating Durga's townread and saying that people should be aboard a town bunny train already. It may not be alignment indicative, but it seems different.
