Technically, this is true of any alignment. As town, I do seek to identify the scum who are against me and see them lynched. I assume, though, that by "something bad" you think I'm scum. This saddens me.

Another thing that's important to do, besides catching scum, is helping other townies identify that you are town. Commenting on specific things you see that you think are odd or out of place actions can help do that, as well as things that you think indicate someone else is town. Also, explaining why you think something indicates a player is town or scum is helpful.

Also, if you end up dying at some point in the game and are town, it's very helpful for the rest of town to be able to look back and see what you were thinking about other players. So if you have impressions of any other players—even just "seems suspicious" or "I trust them"—those are helpful to share.

About 10 of us are “Town”. We’re a team, but don’t know who each other are. But there are lots of us. We get to kill someone every day, and try to learn who else is on our team. And kill the other team.

The other 3 are “Scum”. They are a team. They KNOW who is on each team. In addition, they get to participate in town’s voting to kill someone. In addition they get to talk to each other in secret every “night phase”. In addition they get to kill someone every night phase.

There are some powers, and skills (like a doctor can save someone). But that’s the main thrust.

So right now, we’re looking for people who know too much. Or we’re looking to help our town teammates identify us as on their team. This is why explaining thoughts makes sense.

Also, Fox can’t really “plan” anything. All scum can do is hide. And sew confusion.
