Guessing what the GMs did to the deputy is meaningless and not worth the time. We won't know until we have several days of scans to look through.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:40 pmWhy do you think the GMs would give a 50% chance that the deputy is worthless? Almost worse than a VT since they don't even know that it's useless for a while.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:33 pm50% chance they're bunk, 25% they're normal, and 25% they need to flip their scans
Part of my thought is that the deputy is almost surely useful and the *possibility* that it's useless is just a distraction to make them question their reads a little for the first few days. (I'd guess the possibility is non-zero, but close to zero especially since there are fewer town players than a full slate suggested)

I like lfischlthamrick wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:40 pmThis is a weird vote. There was clearly some early game banter from Vecna and lfischl reacted to it. I don't really get what Bona's trying to do here though.
@Bona - care to explain? Why the Vecna vote?

Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Normally I think cop scans are wasted on players that are likely to be DKed eventually either way and should be used on players likely to sneak through to KiLo. But this game I'd recommend scanning a couple players likely to be DKed for calibration purposes.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:43 pmGuessing what the GMs did to the deputy is meaningless and not worth the time. For the record, that would have been hilarious if we had actually done that after I slipped.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:48 pmWe should roleblock ghug

So what does that mean?
Well ‘soft’ in mafia lingo means Jamie is softing his role. ‘Soft P..’ could be soft porn. It’s true that the Novello does include a rather unnecessary depiction of oral sex by Margerat Hanmer that doesn’t progress the story one bit. But that doesn’t make sense in mafia terms. ‘Soft P’ could refer to ‘silent P’ at the start of some words like ptosis, pneumonia, psoriasis which happen all to be medical terms. Hmmmm maybe Jamie is softing being a doctor here?
What about the book? Owen Glendower for those who don’t know was the last Welsh Prince of Wales and led the rebellion against the English. The English version of his name is used in novel by John Cowper Powys. Glendower died around 1415 during the reign of Henry V. Henry V is, of course, a play by William Shakespeare that features Owen Glendower in passing. The 1989 film of the play was produced by none other than Bruce SHARMAN, which is the modern spelling of SHAMAN. There is little doubt that Jamie is softing being a shaman/doctor. But why? My belief is that he is mafia and will reveal his rather obvious breadcrumbs if/when he is up for the daykill.
I think we have Jamie banged to rights.

I dont think I can deal with this just yet. Too soon, too soon.

I was thinking something similar, not so much in terms of un-smoothness, but more of manufactured hunting.Vecna wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 3:14 pmsurprising level of un-smootheness from tham as well here

After this weekend, I dont think I can ever be upset with, and fight HR in mafia again.
This is probably a buff and a boon for town.
