Hopefully we can assume all town claimed accurately, we do not want any town to deceive the rest of the town here. The number of PR and VT claims will tell us how many mafia are in each group. So, to answer your first 2 questions, there is no town benefit from you claiming something which is not true.

If town, are you ready to accurately claim your role? If not, we do not have much choice but to assume you are scum and lynch you soon.
If we know how much mafia are in each group, how does that then help us? There's still more town in each group as well?
If they claim PR, they will have to claim an exact role of a real town PR, if the majority claim VT, the percentage of scum in the VTs goes up.
I understand now (I think).
Thanks!

I'm VT.

macca has looked lost. at one point asked for advice on what to do if he was scum.

lol
I want to play a more active role, actually looking and working out who's what, but that requires me to understand what certain people would do and why.

As to why I looked lost, I am.

PR: xorxes, Vecna, flash, emc, TFB
VT: damo, rdrivera, HR, bozo, Durga, Donny, summit, brainbomb, Macca

Have not heard from since PR/VT mass claim began:
Chaqa, TRC

Others:
worcej, Bob, JF, Bismarck

We have 2 scum in the VTs so far. It would be helpful if our last 3 PRs would claim.

We know there are 10 buddy pairs, of which most likely 4 contain a scum (assumes one is S-S, the rest are S-T)
Not sure if worcej being so careless with these numbers means he is more likely town or scum. I'm leaning town.
Interesting...I lean scum. Worcej is way too cunning. He was trying to fuel the massclaim car by making it sound better...
On what experience are you basing this assessment of worcej?

If not then it would be for Macca,
Would that be more useful than a dead weight then?

VT alas, we cant all be fun
14/20 claims is now getting up there. There is no telling how many scum are in the 14 claimants, nor how many left in the 6 that have not claimed. Also, no way of knowing who in the 6 PRs are scum etc.

I am philosophically opposed to massclaims. I don't think it is in the spirit of the game - the fun is in the uncertainty, the management of information, the hunting, the conniving etc. On this, I agree with brainbomb, Vecna, Worcej and the others that have resisted this. Is there something in who resisted / who pushed this? Who does it benefit most? Is the mafia knowing the 8 PRs more or less valuable than the information we get? Some have tried to work this out, but we will only know if everybody claims.

My vote on Worcej is NOT because of his stance. I have a similar stance. I am voting for him because I think he tried coaching the newbie scum. And I can be convinced otherwise.

In the interests of the exercise proving its worth or not, and despite my abhorrence at what I am about to do, I claim PR.

I urge all Town to claim, and thus help test the thesis.

I cant say im philosophically against mass claim. Oddly enough we only ever just talk about doing it. it seldom ever occurs. Im not sure its ever occurred d1.

It involves trusting the process, and the people suggesting it
which usually just results in a game long bitch fest about its merit

Flavor:
The scout troop came around the corner, tired from their hike. Also a bit tired from all of the nature "fun facts" they had heard on the hike up from the scoutmaster. As they started to set up camp, the boys paired off according to the good old buddy system. However, since there was an uneven number of boys, poor little Jimmy was left without a buddy. Poor little Jimmy had to set up a tent all by himself.

There are about 14 hours left until night time. Please have your tents assembled by then (oh and make sure you have a vote in as well).

The big topic we shouldve covered was how a flipless game changes information lynches. We always assume games without info are terrible. Most lynches this game will be based on volume, who seems reactionary, what posts contain perceptual flaws, and what chat pairings result in deaths.

If someone ends up in an empty chat its worth noting.
additionally dont forsake instinct. gut feelings are crucial in a flipless game. its eaay to lose scent and dive into radical theories on scumteams, w/w tinfoil and bus conspiracies. Trust me. Thats basically all I am.

That being said, when theres no flips theres no bussing. because whats the point?

I recall donny being skittish last game, and a total suck up. I am seeing more independent thinking this game and less sheeping of other people. part of you got lynched last game donny boy, was how much of a yes man you were.

What should I think of this new meta where you appear to just be your own boss
