Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
EXACTLY
So....
How do you think BRAINBOMB knew not to use omniscient N1?
If hes not an omniscient, how did he know your syntax?
I just realized theres an alternative here ofcourse, but all this fits quite well.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I know, none of this makes sense if brainbomb is town.xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 1:37 pmYour theory requires scum to have come up with very convoluted lies. I think scum try to keep things simple as much as possible. I believe flash indeed tried to visit me, and emc reported his track result accurately.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 1:32 pmUpdate after thinking about it some more:
Scumteam:
Omniscient
Tracker
Secretary
Jailkeep
And potentially one more for a 5th. How many players we started with again?
Donny was scum. EMC is scum tracker now. Brainbomb is omniscient.
Neph maybe secretary?
Flash maybe Jailkeep?
+ maybe the 5th member
(although I predict EMC also has quite some creative capabilities)

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
The obvious explanation is that they are both Doctor.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
no jamiet that is not at all what is happening here
Brainbomb has one of two roles.
One it is understandable he is frustrated with me, but then he himself has been super obvious about it
The other is he is scum masterminding this shit, and its him and foodcoats being scum together.

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
brain talked about "omnipotent dreamer". How is that a crumb for Interceptor, which is the role you're talking about, not Omniscient.

(a) The maximum plausible number of protectives (of any alignment),
(b) The maximum plausible number of town protectives specifically?

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I've never once seen this be the case.
Sidenote - I had a thought that it's extremely unlikely/impossible for both Vecna and foodcoats to be scum. One or the other could be, and both could be town, but both cannot be scum IMO.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
unless im lying about having used it N1

Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Yeah somewhere along the way I realized its very very possible he has -that other role-xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:00 pmbrain talked about "omnipotent dreamer". How is that a crumb for Interceptor, which is the role you're talking about, not Omniscient.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Neither Omniscient nor Interceptor are visiting roles. brain visited foodcoats for sure N1 unless they are both scum. Foodcoats has a roleblocker-type role (unless he lied about that, but he implied it very very early, way earlier than anyone thought it was relevant), and with two roleblocker roles in play, and food's acting first, it is hard to see how he would not be town.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:03 pmYeah somewhere along the way I realized its very very possible he has -that other role-
So it's very hard to believe that brainbomb does not have a visiting role.

Im surprised youre also missing the obviousxorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:12 pmNeither Omniscient nor Interceptor are visiting roles. brain visited foodcoats for sure N1 unless they are both scum. Regardless, if Brainbomb wanted to soft to the doc what was happening, why did he choose a different target in summit. That makes little sense

And I don't understand the second part. What did he soft to the doc? What different target?

I think lynching brain or RHK today is the right play. One of them is lying.DemonRHK wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:48 pmWell, I already put it halfway out there.
Yes, I am a Doctor. I was prepping to counter brain but then he posted that specific syntax I realized it matched what I got, and that two identical roles was pointed out as possible. If there are bastard mechanics in play or something else, no clue but there it is.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I had Demon as null because I had an uncomfortable feeling there was an intentional blindspot in some Demon's iso, but after today so far I'd say Demon is town.xorxes wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:57 pmWhere do you have Demon?foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 12:41 pmHere's a general purpose principle that is much more useful to town than arbitrary mechanical thought experiments:
Scum are much less likely than town to claim roles. They have information, they have confidence in their hidden position, and they win by keeping town from acquiring information to solve with.
Strangely, many players seem to be focusing on the claims, even though those who have claimed are, in general, less likely to be scum.
This makes me realize... flash did not claim and took a long pause before even addressing the activity emc alleged, in a circumspect manner. Xorxes was jailed by someone not flash, meaning flash is likely an investigative or scum, based on the claims and reveals so far. I don't know that xorxes crumbed anything that would make it likely flash is the scum RB. But considering xorx was widely townread, why would flash investigate xorx?
I am bumping flash down into my nulls. I realize now that, much like damo, fox and summit, flash had one or two good posts that pushed me to think he is town, but everything else he has done is largely invisible - perhaps intentionally.
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
Yeah, RHK is the Jailor. He was one of my three top scum reads N1, so it makes sense he would want to roleblock me. Not questioning brain's Doctor claim in the least also suggests he is not the Doctor.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:19 pmI think lynching brain or RHK today is the right play. ##VOTE DEMONRHK
Re: M55: The Last Party - Game Thread
I think both are town - iso aside, brainbomb is entirely capable of fake-claiming as town - but if you must, lynch brainbomb to reduce noise. And I think I could be more wrong about brainbomb anyway, because of how hard it is to read him.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 2:19 pmI think lynching brain or RHK today is the right play.
