It is probably possible to narrow down most dates in these games solely using various treaties of Paris: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Paris

Thanks for informing me. Something about it looked familiar, but I couldn't figure just what.Aristocrat wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 2:45 pmIt’s this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_nuclear_weaponsErnst_Brenner wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 9:05 amI don't know what the map you put represents, but it appears to have a small country in South America colored as well. French Guiana, Suriname or Guyana? I suppose if it's French Guiana it's covered by your above statement.Aristocrat wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:57 amSo that’s US, India, China, North Korea, South Africa, Russia (Asian portion), and I suppose any overseas territories of the European countries that are in North America, Asia, or Africa.
Kazakhstan, Israel, Turkey, and Pakistan are eliminated on account of being more Muslim than India.
Horribly sobering map given the madman in the White House and his lack of commitment to NATO. What happens to NATO-borrowed nukes as he deteriorates?
Interesting that Israel isn't really visible though apparently it's colored yellow. Perhaps it's just because it's so small, but that also seems a bad color choice vs the grey, in my opinion.
How much of the current madness in that region is brought on by having their finger on that trigger, I wonder?
How many other small states are pursuing a Dont Ask Dont Tell policy such as them, and are getting irritated they havent been recognized for it the way Israel has?
I am reminded of the Lewis Black bit where he remembers how they would have safety drills for a nuclear attack which ended with "but there were the children, safely under their desks..."
I guess I should ask some sort of trivia question, though, so here goes:
Does the first letter of the first name begin with any of the capitalized letters below?
Do France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Kiribati, and the Maldives have nukes too?

Re: Twenty questions, round 474
Next time I post a map I will have to look more carefully and maybe post some additional clarification. I actually didn’t see Israel on the first go round (even though I know it’s a nuclear armed state, it was just so small on the map I didn’t process it before posting). I agree the color and size of the country on that map make it annoying and perhaps unfair for a QM to have to peek that closely.Ernst_Brenner wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 5:16 pmInteresting that Israel isn't really visible though apparently it's colored yellow. (Edit: that having been said, the entire Middle East including Israel was already excluded by a prior question, so it wouldn’t have mattered here)

One of twenty questions:
Is the first letter of the first name capitalized below?
How about Pushkin, Qatar, Riyadh, and Telaviv?

Ernst_Brenner, just as a heads up, we were warned a while back that we shouldn't have political discussions here.
